Chances for University of Oxford/other UK Undergraduate Univerisites

Hi. I am a student planning to apply for UK schools for Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

My New SAT score is 1510/1600

SAT 2: 790 in Math 2C, 720 in US History, 750 in World History

AP: 5 in micro/macro, USH, US Gov., Statistics, Calculus BC, 4 in Comparative Politics and World History

can anyone determine my chance for getting into Oxford or recommend me some other UK schools that I might get in (such as LSE, UCL etc.)

Your scores/grades all seem fine, but Oxford places a lot of importance on the interview (especially for PPE) and I can’t seem to remember whether or not they have a test for that subject but if they do, you would also need to do really well in it. The majority of applicants have too scores, which will get you an interview and then you need to ace it to get in. As I don’t know how well you interview then I can’t predict but best of luck!

What goals? There’s currently already a thread that is discussing UK PPE programs (it asks about the Student Room).

Oxford PPE requires the TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment).

You can find [info and some practice tests online](About TSA Oxford | Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing)- be aware that most people find that they score higher on the practice than the real test.

There is a strict [timetable (nb, dates not posted for 2017 yet) for registering and taking the test. If you do not live near a test center](Dates and costs | TSA Oxford | Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing) you will need to either get to one or get your school to register as a center, which can take a time, so get that sorted early.

Nobody can really predict for Oxford. There are two main hurdles to getting an offer: getting short listed for interview and the interview. You might find this summary of shortlisting stats from last year interesting.

Are you equally interested in all three subjects? There still aren’t many places offering PPE, so you might find more options with dual degrees in two out of the three.
