Mah back home visiting grandparents. Really annoying since I have to be all smiley and nice and courteous to like a billion people I dont know who somehow does know me. Then they would stuff me with little red packets of $$ which is a big dilemma since I dont want to take their money since those $$ probably is alot more to them than me however I cant easily refuse since that will be bad. I think Ill “forget” to take it with me when I leave. Such a chore… Ill be heading to Shenzhen in a week. Anyone want to meet me? lol jk.

hi guys, any one got into ivies here?

To Lixuelai

You’re heading for Shenzhen?

Is it your first visit? May be I can guide for you.

me.duh…haha that happens to me too

当你孤单你会想起谁 is a very good song!! i’m hearing it now on baidu…i think i’ve heard it somewhere before

any other good suggestions? 约定 is also good…i like a lot of songs by 光良

oh…and 老鼠爱大米

hey phroz3n, do like songs by 谢霆锋? He is a great singer and he is really cute!!

can you recommend any songs? and im a guy so I don’t care about the second part -.-

Its not my first visit to Shenzhen. Im going there mainly to buy some stuff before I head back to the US.

rich ppl. even i go back to china now, i can’t afford to buy anything.

…but things in China are so freaking cheap…

it depends on what things you buy and cheap stuff always come with low quality.

Hi…
Just wondering…how many of you are thinking of going back after your study? It’s a really tough decision for me…>_<

I planned on it for a really long time, but then I decided my profession shall be in the medical field. Not so good to switch languages, go from high tech to low tech, etc. But I would really love to go back after I retire.

Yea I can totally understand from the medical’s prospect…I think I’ll do that too if I’m also in that area…
In my case, I’m majoring in business, so the differences between going back and staying is not that obivious…thanks though for your input…

if timmy majors business, do consider the difference in the cost of starting or managing a business, the difference in property law, tax efficiency, and the reform progress… There’s a lot of difference, the stock market reform back home disappointed me once again. And not a whole a lot of advanced business standards have been set up back home.

Also consider the cultural differences in business associations.

i’m going to be studying abroad in fudan for a few months. my friend who’s already in shanghai said he can’t access gmail and occassionally can’t access my own college’s email service.

so what email service should i get? yahoo? hotmail?

also, what do you guys use for internet communication? skype? MSN messenger? not AIM right?

thanks

126.com (10 char)

MSN messenger/QQ

anyone s in Wharton here? pls PM me cuz I have few question about Wharton

hey i went to zhangjiajie… so tight

trillian and qq in order of the # of buddies: qq msn aim yahoo

mail and service wise, yahoo owns, but they came late to the game so few ppl use their im

also recommend www.goowy.com for moving around, they have their own mail and storage service, can connect to the major american im, and rss

Bought a load of TV series lol.

I went to a couple internet cafes and everyone used MSN.
