Hey y’all,
Have any of you heard about the essay contest that Chipotle started this year? The deadline was May 31st. I think they are going to let winners know in September… did any of you guys enter?
Hey y’all,
Have any of you heard about the essay contest that Chipotle started this year? The deadline was May 31st. I think they are going to let winners know in September… did any of you guys enter?
Yes, I entered… it was a difficult essay to write in so few characters.
Definitely… I wrote an essay thinking it was like 1700 WORDS when it was really 1700 CHARACTERS. That was quite a shock…
when do the results come out?
Initially the application said August, but I believe that it is now September.
I believe potential winners are notified between August 19 - August 31. Do ya’ll want to share essays?
I don’t know anybody that has been notified or have seen anything on social media. I know the official rules say they people will be notified in August but the website says September.
Anybody hear anything yet?
Nope
I’m a potential grand prize winner!
Just kidding, I wish
My daughter applied, also. No word. Still hoping! @rsantra – we also were thinking it was 1700 words! Ugh! She wrote a lovely essay, although not very long, and I kept pestering her to beef it up. She was going on my “knowledge” of it being 1700 words. Quite a shock when she went to paste it to the website… not happy as she had to cut and cut and cut. 1700 characters seemed so random until we figured out it had to fit on a cup. Good luck everyone!
Any word as of yet?
They have probably already notified the winners. The rest of us just don’t know it yet.
@georgiaonmymind the link to the essay on cultivatingthoughts.com is gone…soo…
I believe the winners should be listed here when they’re done judging: http://chipotlewinners.hit2c.com/ Nothing yet.
The results should be announced soon…the website (before it was taken down) said that winners will be announced in September, which is almost over.
What memories were all your essays about? Mine was about a bunch of memories, written in the form of a letter.
I wrote about the time my friend and I ate guacamole together and talked about life and God–we were seventeen and she’s the daughter of a priest, so we were having mini existential crisis lol. I did it in a way you could substitute out the word guacamole with the word life–for ex: “shut up and just enjoy your guacamole” as “shut up and just enjoy your life”.
Just read that the winners have been notified and will be announced in February. I guess no Chipotle $ for my kid.
@jbeansmom Where did you read that at?
