i am not really sure about this. so, guys please correct me if there is something wrong. i haven’t applied for visa yet. but these are what i think are needed:

Most important

I-20

Application for visa statement (this might be the case of my college only)

Passport (imagine someone applying without a passport…haha)

Citizenship (not needed i think but someone was saying)

Acceptance letter(although i20 would mean that you are accepted)

To show you are academically qualified

SLC certificate

A-Levels/+2 result

SAT score

Toefl score

To show you are financially capable

Financial aid letter

Bank statement with 6 months of transaction history (if you are paying from saving)

Income statments (if you are paying from income)

Rent and other statements ( if you are using them to pay)

Asset evaluation ( if you want to show you have assets to support your stay in US if needed)

Relationship verification (to associate your father’s bank statement with you)

To show you will return back to nepal later.

Relationship verification(maybe useful)

show your want to return to nepal.

Unnecessary documents you can make just for fun:

Police report

No objection letter
…

anyone who knows about applying can edit this. i know there are things missing or unnecessary in the above list

Hmmmm is any one Giving GCE A Level Further maths . If so do you guys have a copy of the OCT NOV 2003 Paper2 . I know this is random but i cant find it anywhere. Not in school not on the web ,dont know what to do.
Thanks

@sailesh6126…I think the “No objection letter” isn’t necessarily “Unnecessary documents you can make just for fun”…Infact I have ‘heard’ that we need it for currency exchange and stuff…as well as in the airport…so it would be better to take that seriously (at least not for fun) :)

yah… i knew about that. i was trying to say that it is not needed for interview.

@fsa1… i think most of us here have already completed our a-levels/12. so, probably no one is taking further maths. btw, why do you need it? and which school are you from? if you are from BNKS, it is not so hard to get past papers. if you are from other school, try to contact someone in BNKS.

thank you sailesh, though I expected the other shailesh to reply first.(since he is the regular one). # 1 and 2 is clear to me. but does asset evaluation mean the one that the CA does? let’s say my bank statement shows enough money to pay for my education. then is such evaluation still needed?

another thing. should I keep acceptance letters from other schools as well? just to let them know that I had done pretty good research before applying and also when deciding which school to go for?

well…the asset evaluation is a proof that U will indeed come back after u complete your studies…in that way… it would be in the best interest to show some assets…plenty of assets means less liable to get lost around in the US

well I too had plans to reply but expected someone else who’s currently in the US to reply first!!! :)…but shailesh’s the one who replied…that’e me :)

shail619 yeah i got into lafayette… like you did (hehe).

anyhow will you be going for sure, ive seen you on lafayette forums as well. i will most probly be going just have to get my visa stuff done. damn and must give friggin’ exams
