Class of 2011 from Nepal...lets discuss here

let me bump it to the top!

mid february comin closer n’ closer…best of luck to all ED2 ppl

ToUSin007, cool name u have. at first i thought it was some kind of chinese name. only after u explained it some days ago i got it.

few days left now… ahhh… just burying myself into work to forget the anxiety…
it’s better to think abt python or c# that worry abt the inevitable now…

best of luck genericgenius. u have amazing stats. u will get in for sure.

don’t worry cricster, u’ll get a good one too. best of luck guys.

python  r u already in google or what?? Cool

Python’s fantastic. Much more fun to work with than Java, in my opinion (Java’s the only other language I’m even reasonably competent with).

Looks like some1 has applied air-breaks to this thread all of a sudden…

It seems that I lag behind in computers…:p…

hehe… python is just beautiful… man, i feel like i’m writing poetry sometimes… java is also cool, i’m good with those languages… been three years hacking java just done nth any bit substantial except trying all sorts of codes by others and tweaking… but altho i hate MS, i’m better at those MS APIs(honestly, in my view MSDN is all that it takes to program in windows… so i hate it)… and those .NET languages… been 6 years with vb…
latest love is python for sure… still haven’t got myself to commit to ruby altho lots of ppl are referring…
so, there’s plenty to work on, just starting to get interesting things to do in php and c# for the time being… just exploring python for olpc($100 laptop) work and some hobbyist projects of mine…

Hah, I’m nowhere near competent with most programming languages, but am a very enthusiastic amateur. Didn’t much like what little of the MS APIs I saw, actually, but that might be more because they bored the hell out of me than anything else.

This five-month summer holiday post-Boards is going to be a very, very computer-filled time for me, I think.

yah. best of luck for you… anyone giving RHCE anytime soon?

full form of RHCE?

guys, be careful…the moderators might delete your posts thinking that you are not speaking english, lol
at least for me, i can’t understand anything you guys are saying…python, java, MS API, MSDN,RHCE?? wish i was smart enough to understand such things…

for me it’s more abt quantifying own knowledge in linux than for getting a job… i’ll at least know how deep i’ve known in linux after the exam…
compared to other certifications like MCSE or A+, I think RHCE has, by definition and examination, far broader scope as most linuxes are same… even broader, all unixes…

hmm… i am making this form seem geeky i guess… let’s come back to college talk… how is all this going to help me? well, i’m almost sure to go for computer engg … yah yah i know i need to work on electronics even more…

c’mon, u r smart enuff to get princeton man, this is all simple stuff compared to that!.. what do ya say?

i was just saying that i am not good in computer programming stuff…and your works are really amazing…and i think a person should be really smart to do such things…
for admission to college, intelligence is not the only factor…it is more important how you present yourself than who you really are… college accept the best applications rather than the best applicants…i think . so, my acceptance doesn’t make me smart or qualified.

I agree but then presenting oneself is also another aspect of being smart… we internationals have only our docs, not like US applicants who get to visit the campus, meet ppl, blah blah, so by definition the colleges don’t get the complete picture…
it’s essentially the same thing, in my view to solve a maths problem, write an essay or write good codes… sometimes a lil too similar

i agree.
btw, where are you applying genericgenius?

GeneRiceGenius, U r really off the hook man!! U r going to super tech school!!! I was also inspired to some extent. I have almost finished learing C from 2 books. Now trying to dig through this python n other stuffs. The tutorials are tooo big i think i’ve to buy some books for these. Now i’m in 3d max dude haha (pentasoft)(where did u take this course 3yrs ago??). Have to complete A+ exam soon. ok bye!
