Class of 2012 from Nepal

Actually they intend to know what You expect from a college and how the college has been a (perfect)match to you. And testing is writing skills is obvious.

Thats fine with question: why do you want to study at this college? Or why is this college a good match? types of question. But what do you suggest to write in case of rena’s question and how do you think those …ties r shown. Well i cant write an "essay"on the topic unless they approve a sentence-long essay - from counselor friends website bla bla and bla

Hey is any one in this thread player of tribal wars? And more specifically world 9. I badly need resources.

Well it just seems that I have to go with that question in a " just like that!" mode! anyways, what is happening with supplements? everyone?
How many of you are applying to dickinson ?

If the electronic pre app does not include information about anything like a mailed fee waiver, how are we supposed to send it online? Please help.

You are supposed to send it by mail…No online facility is available for that so far…just like Teacher recs…
And as for the essay, try your creativity…take help from previous essays…there are many posted in different threads…
Use your own abilities to think openly, widely and find amazing things that amazes you, put it amazingly, that is capable of amazing the adcoms…:p…

same problem at middlebury? they suck. i dont know if my preap is sent or not . I chose to pay later which i wont do of course

how many here are applying EA to Dickinson?

isaac, its easier said than done. if u have written such amazing essays then just PM them over to me. I’ll do no more than take a hint or two.:D

^…lol…believe me, it takes a lot of time to create a considerably good essay…
My essay was for Stanford, and that was not the topic,i.e., it won’t be of much use…
And, my essay was not on very broad ideas, although it emphasized much on it…:p…
Try searching ‘‘What are My Chances?’’ or ‘‘Admissions’’ thread, I am sure you will find many useful essays…
Try searching the essays under the user name ‘‘Abhi05844’’…:)…

Does EA work for internationals seeking aid? What i feel is that (its only my personal speculation) since you want full aid and early reply(without giving college opportunity to compare you with other RD applicants) without showing any commitment (as in the case of ed), chances of getting in go much lower; lower than in case of rd. That may not be true in case of college like MIT or the ones that offer SCEA. But i think its true in case of colleges that offer both ED AND EA. What do you guys think about EA in college that also offers ED?

Is ‘ones’ gramatically correct…lol

EA is always in a bit of advantage…not in negative…:)…

if u didn get in EA, there’s little chance that u ll get in in the RD (i.e. with the same credentials)
see it this way…‘u got nothing to lose’…
p.s. i think ones is correct

Guys what are u all doing with your supplement essays. The hell with those essays. Those essays are killing me. Each college has its own topic for essay and there are more than 3 essays for most colleges. Now only thing left for me is to shoot myself. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… give me some suggestion. stop me from killing myself.

and guys most college ask for Graded paper form Grade 11 or 12. What shall we do abt it because we are already high school grads. this thing is also killing me. Give me some suggestion or i’ll murder myself. BTW does KCN(Potassium cyanide) works instantly. I retract my decision to shoot me instead i’ll swallow KCN tabs.

^^lol…that way u’ll have to undergo some massive suffocation before you die.
btw, i have an even bigger problem. i’ve got to submit my app today but havent started on 4 essays tht i’ve got to write.

@ manasm

Regarding the graded paper…what you can do is write a fresh “academic” essay…by academic I mean the ones you would typically write in a high school English class…and let some teacher check it (tell him to include comments as well as a grade)… you should be fine after doing this…

Guys and gals…so what are the fresh updates as to which all colleges u chose (or are choosing) for applying…I hope you have a list of diverse list of colleges (reaches, matches and safeties)… Unless you really foul up your essay…if you have a decent score, you should be just fine…and by decent score I mean anything above 1400 (math + CR)… Best of luck to everyone :)

and one more thing…if u are applying to Lafayette…if u need some information… you can PM me and inquire about the things you would like to know about Lafayette…I would be more than happy to answer your queries…especially now that I am approaching the end of my semester :D
