Class of 2013--checking in!

Ugadog…welcome home to the rain. I am glad you get to stay home for awhile, and I think that your daughter has wonderful choices.

I am so sorry about your Avis experience. I am glad you made it home (finally) safe and sound.

YIKES! Well, with all the traveling you and your D did for your college visits and interviews, I guess it was bound to happen that you’d have at least one travel-related bummer!!!

Put your feet up! You done good!

That’s rotten about the car rental. So glad you are safe and finished!

Sending best wishes to everyone as the audition season winds down. Looking forward to hearing all of the news as it comes in.

Thanks for the get well wishes!
Good luck to your D ugadog and to everyone else still auditioning!

Yikes – sorry to hear about your bad car rental experience. I have rented cars for many a year and never had an issue like the one you describe. Glad you got through it and still had a positive experience at Point Park.

I’ll join others in being interested in your thoughts about Otterbein. We had to draw the line somewhere about what we could reasonably drive to and NCSA, CCM, Depaul and Otterbein were the four my daughter left to unifieds.

I only have a minute right now but will be back later for Otterbein info. However, I have to news to share!!

My daughter was accepted to Shenandoah!!! We had checked her application status and noticed it was showing a missing transcript, which was odd since I have sent two. She called Margie this afternoon but had to leave a message. Just a few minutes ago Margie called to say she has the transcript and my D has been accepted! We are so thrilled!!! Her first real Conservatory!! :)

Huge congratulations! What wonderful news! :)

Ugadog!!! As a Shenandoah mom…yayayayayayay!!! Congratulations!!! So very excited for your daughter!!!

Today my daughter received her acceptance to University of Evansville BFA in performance! Flipping out!

Congrats to Researchmom and Ugadog’s Ds.
Ugadog, your D has really been doing great in this process. Way to go!

Woot -woot!!

Love to see the offers coming in to everyone!

Sitting here with a big envelope from University of Evansville Theatre and a separate letter from UE Admissions…waiting for my D to get home from rehearsal. She already received a Dean’s scholarship with her EA academic admittance to UE back in December…waiting…waiting…

For heaven’s sake! Put the tea kettle on . . . and steam it open!

This weekend my S received his first rejection (Purchase) and his first acceptance (William Peace University BFA MT). He only applied to one BFA MT and its his first acceptance! We still have 2 more auditions to go, ECU this Sat. And WCU all the way in April( it is a make-up date because an ice storm cancelled our earlier audition). It is nice to have one BFA under our belt!

UArts and Wagner. It aint over!

tag3pam, I called my daughter and said, “There’s an envelope here from Evansville. Do you want me to open it?” And she said, “Sure.” So I gave her the news over the phone. It would be killing me to wait, too! I won’t be so lucky when the next envelope arrives, I’m sure. I’m so impatient and anxious!

Admitted to University of Evansville for Stage Management (one of three) along with a merit award bump up to Trustee’s Scholarship! Woot!

tag3pam–congrats to your daughter. Have you visited Evansville?

Love love love the acceptances, they make this whole process worth the angst!!! Congratulations to all!!!

Wow…awesome news all around today!! Congrats to ResrchMom, Tag3pam, Mom2gals, and Cjenny2! This is such an exciting time!

Now, about Otterbein: We loved the campus. It is so small and so pretty. It was snowing the day we visited, so it made the campus even prettier. Westerville is a town that reminds us very much of home. It is just big enough to have things to do, but it’s small enough for people to know each other. Their “uptown” area reminds us very much of our square. The faculty and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The current students were also very approachable and seemed happy to be at Otterbein. My D thought their facilities were good and was impressed with what she saw in the program. She got to sit in on a class and have a “conference” with a tech professor then had her interview/portfolio review. She thought the entire process went smoothly, and she enjoyed her day very much.
