@thegame: at any liberal arts school? nah, its not the same. sarah lawrence is different. the sex is palpable, its in the air, especially around the end of the semesters. and slc is just weird. you dont have to be good enough, you just have to be a guy. thats it.

sorry to burst your bubble, but its nothing like american pie, not if you go to a small liberal arts school. but if you goto a big university with lots of frats and sororities, then those things happen more often. the parties in liberal arts colleges are mostly in people’s rooms or houses, lots of alcohol, lots of drugs.

u seems to be a good guy…but do u remember now what u had written? I guess not…if u had gone through it thoroughly then u would have known those silly and senseless things…go to those things again and ask to yourself in cool mind…basnu payo bhanera thyachha nabasnu ani bolna payo bhandaima pyachha nabolnu…and yes that private message was viewed by us 9 friends…and a senior dai too…and your prediction is going in the right direction…i m getting rejected from everywhere…so congratulations to u…but i again tell u…one decision can change everything…if u want to control the cell, just it needs is a mitrochondria.

@almightygod

What major are you pursuing and what is your current GPA?
Is it really difficult in USA to work and study side by side?And are there any effects of economic crisis for international students and their off-campus jobs?”

It really depends upon you, whether or not you can balance work work with school work. Once you get the hang of things, I wouldn’t say it would be difficult to work 20 hrs/ week (the limit)…or 40 hrs/week (during breaks).

The economic crisis has had a significant impact on campuses all over the US. American Students who could pay full fees are now in need of financial aid. My college has lost millions of dollars due to the current recession, however, Trinity says it will do all it can to protect its “Current” students. This is probably why Trinity has so far accepted only 1 Nepali so far. Last year, Trinity accepted 4 Nepalis (just in the EDs). All of the NESCAC schools have been badly affected by the recession.

I will be in IB:
I haven’t decided my major yet! Its a liberal arts school, so I just want to experiment until I find what I’m good at and what interests me. Probably International Studies and/or Economics. What I am sure about is that I wouldn’t be taking any Natural Science courses!!

come over here
talk with the people concerned
if you are on financial aid… they’ll waive the health insurance (might differ in different colleges though!)

@uplander
I don’t know how to do that. Maybe you can email the financial aid office after you get your college acceptance packet or you can email a Nepali student in Lafayette and ask him about it.
