NAU is very “outdoorsy” - snowboarding, vegan restaurants, granola, hackysack - the whole nine yards.

Brandon got into UCF and USF from PA We are waiting for UF but thats not until Feb. UCF is first choice

Ditto the congratulations!

Great news and a great school. Congrats

Not a parent, but I got accepted into UNC-Greensboro today.

A very good friend of mine who has done well in life went there…congrats to your son!

[gadad, I gots champagne, I gots orange juice. Let’s see now… one uses the clear one to water down the mixed drink, right?]

:: adds more champagne to the pitcher ::

watch out, we were chastised in the '10 thread for making little pictures like [_]} and Y to hold our virtual drinks!

For those weary of the CC people agonizing ovr whether to retake SATS because they scored only 2200, the 3.0 -3.3 parents thread is an oasis of supportive advice

Wonderful news!

Congratulations! That’s wonderful!

Son got into Northern Arizona University, no scores requested, with a 2.92 gpa. Woohoo! Only 13 more to go…

Methinks I need to read more threads like this to bring a sense of proportion and reality back to the process. Congratulations on acceptance #1!

D was accepted to Florida Southern College on Wednesday and to UCF on Thursday!
2 for 2 so far!
Waiting on 10 more which will be looong waits!
It’s nice to have something “in the bag” already!

Ds is in at A&M. Not his first choice but not his last either, so it’s all good. Plus, we know he’ll get some scholarship money. Awaiting the letter. 1 for 1

Major Congrats YDS!!! Good to have one under the belt! I’m sure many more are on the way!

I’ll add ours here too. My son was accepted a couple of weeks ago to his top (and only) choice - UT Austin, Electrical Engineering!! So, we’re done! Just need to keep him off the senioritis train now!

Hondu, is your son for sure going to UT? Our boys will be classmates (2 out of 6000+ LOL)! My son’s best friend got in McCombs too - they are already planning on living together.

Has any of out of state applicants heard back from admission? My s is still finishing up his essay (3rd one) and will be submitting application packet by the end of the month. His 1st choice is Mccombs. Can’t believe some of the kids have already been accepted this early.
BTW: We’re in MA

For my son, we submitted early because his stats are not the best. (I almost had to sit on him to get the applications out the door.) I am thrilled that he was accepted into 2 colleges and I thought the work was done. Now that his buddies are finally talking about colleges, S1 wants to “check out” some more schools. Grrrrrrrr

No. DS will wait for the NMF announcement and the scholarship packages offered by each of the 5 colleges and then make his decision. Unfortunately, UT just discontinued scholarships for finalists.

He is currently working on Honors essays where required.
