Well, now I’m feeling grateful about hearing about my daughter within 6 days of her application being complete. I know how frustrating this must be… good luck to all of you!

I’m getting nervous because 6 people from my school have already been accepted and I still haven’t heard back!

My application was marked complete on Saturday and I was accepted this morning!!!

Congrats Sinigoma!!!
May I ask what state you are in/ what your stats are?

haha has anyone been rejected on this thread? all i see are people saying how it’s taking forever than posting how they got in…

I’ve got my fingers crossed for all of you still waiting to hear. It IS agonizing!

Awesome news! I’m in the same shape as you in terms of GPA and standardized tests… Gives me hope :)

My daughter received her official Tulane letter yesterday and was over the moon to learn they offered her an Academic Achievement Award! Good luck to all those still waiting.

I’ve been marked as complete for a month and still haven’t heard anything :(

Hey guys, I applied to Tulane originally as an EA but later emailed my admissions counselor, Morgan England, to change to SCEA as I felt it suited me better. Not exactly sure when my application was marked complete but I was hoping I could get some feedback on my chances? Here’s some of my stats:

SAT: 2160
Math- 700
Reading-740
Writing- 720

GPA: 3.7/4.0 and 4.78/5.0

Awards and Activities: National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, AP Scholar with distinction, Silver award on the National Spanish Exam, Varsity Soccer 2 years, member of a child mentoring program that requires application and interviewing to get in, employed at my local YMCA about 20 hours a week, and have done over a hundred hours volunteer work at my local library over the past few summers.

As far as demonstrated interest, I visited a Tulane comes to you reception, completed my why Tulane essay (as I’m sure most of us did), and kept in touch with my admission counselor.

My AP courses between soph. year and now include Stat, Environmental Science, Spanish Language, English Language, United States History, World History, Calculus AB, Government, English Lit, Biology, and next semester I’ll be in AP economics as well. I will be graduating under a Summa Cum Laude grad plan with 32 credits.

Please be brutally honest! Thanks guys!

Bromar334, you want brutal honesty? . . . Well, you asked for it: I think your chances are pretty good!! If you had been In the RD pool and applying to Tulane “just in case” I would have told you it was a toss up. Switching to SCEA, on the other hand, strengthens your hand greatly. (BTW, your stats are comparable to my S2, and he got in RD. He chose Tulane over Brandeis and Emory, among other schools, and has been thrilled with his choice!). Congrats to you!

@ Bromar

I think you have great chances. I was accepted yesterday and your SAT is significantly higher than mine and our GPA’s are roughly the same. You have great ECs and have shown a lot of interest, so you’re in great shape!

@Carb123 I am from SoCal and I got accepted about 3 weeks ago. Jeff is very accommodating so I’d you left anything out of your app or if something didn’t fit, EMAIL HIM. For example, I really wanted to send in my senior year grades to show my maintained grades. However, I was afraid that they wouldn’t see them because I applied so early. I emailed Jeff and he said to email him everything and anything we want to that will help us. So I was able to email him a screenshot of my in progress grades via my school’s online grade checker. So definitely email him. He answers questions in very good time and it shows demonstrated interest if you are consulting with him to make your application perfect. Hope this helps!!

Thanks guys! Tulane’s a 1st choice and as it gets later and later in the process I’m gonna be watching my Gibson like a hawk… I’ll keep y’all posted and congrats to everyone who’s already admitted!

Hi! This is my first post, and I am hoping to get some input on my stats and application.
I am a senior with a 3.7 GPA and a 28 on my ACT. I’m nervous because my scores are not as high as the other students who have posted about their acceptances on this site. Tulane is my top school, I am absolutely in love with it! I check Gibson nearly twenty times a day, and today marks the third week that my application has been complete. It worries me that people have been finding out within a week of submitting their application and it has been almost a month since I sent in mine! Can anyone give me some input as to whether or not I have a shot at getting in? I am involved in numerous extra-curriculars and community service projects so I am hoping those will help boost my grades.

Has anyone here who’s been accepted received any information about the admitted students website yet? The Tulane website says that the login information is usually sent within 2 weeks of being accepted, but I haven’t heard anything yet.

My S has not as far as I know, but he did join the Tulane Class of 2018 on Facebook. Not the same thing at all, but a way to start getting to know others in your class!

I have checked gibson and havent seen any admitted student website, but i am part of the facebook group! I like how they have the student interns running it!

This is what I’m talking about: [Tulane Admission: For Admitted Students](For Admits | Undergraduate Admission)

“Admitted students will receive information on how to access a personalized admitted student website approximately two weeks after they are admitted to Tulane. This site can be used to complete enrollment forms, pay the enrollment deposit and fill out housing preferences.”

hello everyone so I submitted my application on the 23rd and had all materials in by the 30th. I called Tulane to make sure everything was in and they said my application was ready for review. However, my gibson portal says that everything is missing. Has this happened to anyone/ does anyone have advice?

Also, what are my chances for merit aid? I have a 3.7 UW and a 4 W from a very competitive and well-known school. I have a 31 ACT and a lot of extra curriculers and leadership positions. I have also visited tulane and met my admissions representative.
