Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

@CaMom13 - good luck with that… I have been saying I will be done for two years now… but I get pulled into the stories! Plus I still get the occasional valuable tip here :wink:

@Brecktwins19 Congratulations - so exciting!!! We are happy for my D for her acceptance to Muhlenberg too… This was one of my D’s favorites (higher on her list than many BFA and audition BA programs) because of the freedom to design her own challenging triple threat program. I’ve heard wonderful things about the program. We are looking forward to visiting campus!

@Kristiern1 Congratulations!!! We are waiting to hear from Webster too… Fingers crossed!

@Brecktwins19 my intention was not to make a negative comment about Muhlenberg. I’m not sure why you would be taken aback by my comment about the $70K sticker price being on the high side for a non-city school. It’s high by any standard. I was also very happy my daughter got in as we really love the school after visiting twice. She was excited to get in too! My point was that at that price it is not a viable option for us, and even with a scholarship it would still never have been a “safety” school as I had mistakenly originally thought of it (being non-audition and all). When I did my initial research I had recorded $62K total…so clearly I missed something, and plus inflation is always a thing. So by her senior year that would be closer to 85K per year. No way could we afford that.

@LBSMOM thank you so much! I will take you upon that offer soon!

Congrats @AGMomma!

Group hug, everyone! We’re in the home stretch - our own March Madness. I say “our” and I don’t even have a kid in this year’s bracket! That’s how super invested we all are in this community.

@El-Cee I also didn’t think saying Muhlenberg is expensive (considering location ) was offensive. It is expensive. I remember it being pricey but didn’t know it obviously has increased… def since we toured there in 2016. D didn’t care for the school but Allentown isn’t too bad a locale being only about an hour 45 from NYC. We have relatives in that area . Plus D auditioned at DeSales down the road.

Some people really like the school so…like everything else if you love it & can afford it … there ya go. They do have that summer theatre too. Only thing i heard is the performance opportunities at school are rather sparse but who knows if that’s accurate.

@CaMom13 I still have a HS freshman so I’m hanging around for another few years :((

D just got an email from NYU. All results will be out 3/28!

American U said they sent out snail mail on March 18.

S received the snail mail from American today. From the main thread, it seems to be hit or miss whether people received it yet and apparently the university was still sending out mail yesterday and today.

Isn’t NYU the one that is 50/50 grades?

@Anybodyhaveamap Yes, NYU is 50/50 academic/talent.

D got the same email from them - decisions on 3/28. We are 99% decided at this point but can’t wait to get closure on all schools at this point and move on! Good luck to everyone!

Time for a big board update, since the last one was over 10 pages ago!

Note - there’s a cross-reference list by date for those who self identify as "date anxiety "sufferers on p. 18 of this thread. Thanks CaMom13. We can update this list on April 1 as a primer for next year’s class of 2024

@21stParent UWSP email on March 4 to my D said “you will be notified within the next few weeks” - not really helpful.

We’re still waiting on American snail mail, Wright State snail mail, Northwestern, WMU and UWSP.

@afterp89 .
Hehe, that is quite vague but thanks for letting me know!
Yah, we have some more to hear from, too. I sure hope we all get answers sooner rather than later, hopefully by April 1st. Have to plan campus visits on a shoestring budget. :lol:

Does anyone know if Missouri has notified any girls? I’ve only seen boys so far.

Missouri State’s website says one last audition date in LA in April. But wrapped up NYC Auditions last week. Faculty meeting this week to make decisions. May see some rolling decisions. Missouri State off Spring Break this week. But could hear April news as well.
