Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

@azmtmom13 Yes, NYU is this Thursday 3/28.

@azmtmom13 - almost there!

I was just commenting on the class of 22 FB group that last year (with college applications) absolutely crawled but the freshman BFA year is absolutely flying by. Still pulling (and singing) for the MT folks waiting for those first yesses - remember LOTS of us were in your shoes last year. Keep your chins up, it ain’t over till it’s over. Some waitlists will move, some schools will notify late, other schools will have unexpected spaces. Hang in there, everyone.

You’re in the home stretch! Congrats and hope everyone has at least one awesome yes by the end of this week.

• NYU 3/28 - portal all at once
• BoCo will be sometime this week - last year it was Friday/Saturday - all at once
• Missouri State is notifying via email, and still working with their pool of applicants to put the class together
• Univ. of Ooooooooklahoma (thank you for indulging me) said that they have extended initial offers and have a few kids on ‘standby’, but are still working on building their freshmen class. They haven’t declined anyone from the callbacks yet.

There was a post on the Acting forum that BoCo started to roll out today via emails. Does anyone have any more info on that?

@DramaLlama18 @Abutilon I just got a reply to an email I sent to BoCo stating, “you will be notified of your decision by email on April 1st.” I had asked about MT, not Acting.

I just spoke to Andrea Sadler at Ball State. They will be making a second round of calls within the next 24 hours.

Fingers crossed for you & others still waiting to hear from Ball State! @BWmama

Does anyone have any information/experience with the BFA MT at Auburn?

Rejection email from WMU was sent today.

Is Manhattan School of Music March 29 or April1? I know the website says April 1 but I thought I heard March 29 during the informational meeting.

D has decided to narrow her list. She has withdrawn from Western Connecticut (waitlist), Butler, Adelphi (BFA Theatre Performance), Arcadia and American and asked Wisconsin Stevens Point to withdraw her from consideration. She’s down to 5 including one she’s still waiting to hear from. This is hard…

@BWmama this makes me sooo nervous!

Western MI movement for WL already. D came off WL and was accepted to MTP late last night (via email). We have not committed yet as we are still waiting for several colleges, but they have asked for her commitment by 4/15.

I was also told March 29th at the audition.

We released our offer from UArts (BFA MT) today. Hopefully this helps bump someone off the waitlist, but as we all know that is not necessarily how it works.

Got an email from OCU re-directing D to BA Music, but offering her a talent scholarship and saying she could re-audition next year for MT or VP. Also said she may be hearing from the theatre school regarding BFA Acting. Kind of strange getting a redirect with scholarship. Anyone else?

@mtmom3girls My D got offered artistic scholarship money with several redirects. So I don’t think it’s uncommon. Out of curiosity I do wonder if everyone they redirect gets the same or just some, but guess there’s no way to know… I was told at one school they have a certain amount set aside for each degree type.

D is on WL at Ball State. Haven’t heard any thing yet today. Anyone else get off the WL today?

@Myparttimejob My D released her spot yesterday!

@mtmom3girls - We also got redirect to BA Music, AND accepted to BFA Acting for OCU. Both came with scholarships!
