Class of 2024 Early Action Thread

OOS, I don’t see even see a line for a final transcript let alone an X. According to the conspiracies, does this mean I am flat out rejected? For reference, OOS, 1500 SAT, 3.98 UW, 800 on MATH2, 800 Chem subject test varsity sport, multiple leadership/research opportunities, etc.

Also, many of the stats change per the college you are applying for.
There are MANY more spots in LSA available than engineering, and the stats between the 2 are different with ECs and some courses.

Is it coming out today or tnrw

I don’t have a “Final Transcript” line???
I just have:
Counselor Recommendation
High School Transcript
Teacher Recommendation
Test Score: ACT or SAT
Application

Is it over for me?

@Chill2000 - That is what the lady in UMich Admissions said “glitch in the system” I am hoping you are right. Praying you are rights. Let us all have a moment of silence and wish for the best.

Mind you, my theory is that wherever you end up - is probably for the best - but UMich felt so right.

Let us all pray for an continue to support each other - it will work out.

No X for me OOS, 3.95 uw 1510 SAT and 800 Math 2 this is rlly tuff oh well

No X.
3.5 uw…4.2 W
30 ACT
started a sexual harassment education program with my principal
President of diversity/LGBTQ club
President of Best Buddies
Submitted (what my advisor said was really good) a letter to Megan Taylor (admissions officer for Wisconsin)

I highly doubt all of these high stats people would be rejected… I am so nervous

There is no way that they will outright reject you unless you didn’t write an essay  That is why this whole thing about X is totally bogus.

There’s the link for those who need it.

From my understanding, having an X means an acceptance, and not having one is probably deferral/rejection. Makes sense because they would only want a final transcript for accepted students.

I have polled several students in my school (IN STATE). All of us with high stats (1500+) and those who expect acceptance have an X, and those who applied as a reach have no line for final transcript.

A lot of you guys are posting high stats, and many of you are OOS. Historically, it is very hard to be admitted EA OOS, so you all probably got deferred if this check mark means anything (which it almost certainly does given the extraordinary correlation not only in my school but in other poster’s schools).

We will probably find out if we are right at 3pm either today or tomorrow.

Now that we are just paddling theories, how about “X” means that they don’t really need your final transcript and you were rejected

I swear to God if they make us wait until tomorrow I will raid the admissions office

Remember that CC, the site your on is a very small microcosm of the “real” world.

Also… If the Michigan thread is this busy this early and the decisions do come out today… This site is going to blow ?️?. Hopefully you all don’t crash the server…lol

Good Luck once again!

@Chill2000 FAX

I’m confused. Where is the x supposed to be. Mine says view application and then just brings me to the blue screen that says applications are being processed.

When replying with stats:
If you have APs, can you say out of how many APs are offered at your school. For example, my daughter has 8APs out of the 11 her high school offers. This makes a BIG difference to UMich. If you have 2APs and your school offers 2APs, UM is impressed. If you have 2APs and your school offers 15, not so good. Thanks!
Also it might be helpful to future years to offer info like: competitive high school, rural high school, urban/city if your high school fits into some kind of category that makes it easier or harder to enter from. For example, my daughter’s high school is in a rural county, so we know the test scores skew lower. Also racial info can be helpful if you’re willing to share. (Even though, UM says they don’t use it, first gen. and minority students at our high school get in with 25 ACT, but are admitted to comprehensive studies program which is actually a very supportive and helpful program if anyone gets accepted to it.)

We really need to come back at 3 P.M. (assuming it comes today ) and say

YES /NO - Accepted/Rejected/Deferral

YES/No - X

@megfoy click the link people are posting and it will tell you
