Same here! Application submitted December 17, all green checks on the applicant portal, and no update since then.
We’ve tried emailing twice with no response. .??? There is no one in the office and no way to contact admissions but by email, which they are not responding to. Help!!!
Just video-chatted with admissions officer. Got some party line about coronavirus and working from home, still continuing to review applications, blah blah. But she checked the application portal and confirmed that they had all our paperwork, etc.
But she seemed confused about the issue. Said she was emailing her superior and to check the portal for updates. And to contact back next week if it didn’t resolve.
I sent my application on October 11th and I still have not received my decision and no updates on my portal. I have been very nervous as every week they tell me it’s going to take couple more weeks. My counselor told me my application was reviewed by them quite some time ago, they have just not sent me my decision.
Has anyone made an appeal through the portal? If so, how long did it take to hear back? my S made an appeal but only got an automated message saying we wouldn’t hear until after May 1, but that doesn’t help since you need to commit by May 1 (I don’t believe they moved their commitment date.). Anyone have experience with this?

What kind of appeal? You probably should send a deposit to another school before the May 1 deadline in case your UConn appeal doesn’t work out.
Decision day is in a couple weeks so anyone waiting for a decision should email admissions and see if they have any updates. If you were told after May 1 then you need to put a deposit on another school as a back up. If you applied months ago and haven’t heard from anyone at all that seems like a problem to me and I would suggest emailing admissions since they are working from home.
@jmsstb waiting for a scholarship appeal. My S received $0 in money from UConn so its the most expensive on this list at the moment…by a lot. Unfortunately if we don’t have an answer soon we’ll have to take them off the list. Which is a shame since my S really likes the school.

Have you tried emailing? It would be nice if they can give you a definite yes or no. We were in the same boat with OOS schools. My D wasn’t offered a dime anywhere and since she didn’t have a definite #1 accepted school she decided UConn was the best choice because for us it’s the cheapest option since we are in state.
@CollegeorBustNE
Yes she made her decision last week. I was surprised but with everything that’s going on now she figured it would be better to stay closer to home.
You need to call, email, and call again first thing Monday until you get a real person on the phone that will give you an answer. Have you gotten responses from them at all?
@Tiffany1006
We’re you deferred? Waitlisted? Or have you not heard from them at all?
Decision notifications started 2/28 and if my D hadn’t heard anything yet and it had been 2-3 weeks I would of had her contact admissions ASAP. Decision day is May 1 plus now with everyone home, staff availability is limited so you need to call and email ASAP. What does the portal say? Are you missing anything? Did they request further information from you that was never received? If you were waitlisted usually decisions don’t come until as late as mid June.
