Class of 2024

@FutureCPA101 the EA deadline was 10/15, what do you mean by 10/28 ? How did u get your notification ? I applied last week with an identical gpa but higher SAT. I hope I dont get waitlisted…

@gettfasap223 I applied 10/29 for EA

@FutureCPA101 the deadline was 10/15. and Im surprised they didn’t defer you since you did EA or even offer you a later semester acceptance.

@gettfasap223 EA deadline was actually 11/15

Does anyone know what the time frame for regular admissions decisions are? I thought Buffalo was rolling admissions, but I have not seen any decisions being posted since early December.

My son applied on 1/12/20 was admitted later that week (1/16? 1/17?)

My son applied in November and hasn’t heard anything.

My son sent his application in before the early action deadline and had all of his supplementals submitted a couple of days before the December 15th scholarship consideration deadline. We received his acceptance letter on December 18th. We’re still waiting for the financial package to come :).

My son just got the scholarship offer letter (international student)

My son just got the scholarship offer letter (international student)

Email, via portal or regular mail?

Assuming it wasn’t the USPS at 12:57 AM

did anyone get an email saying that you/your child was in the running for one of their prestigious scholarships…Maybe? I almost wish the email didn’t come in case D doesn’t get anything.

Through email

Have any accepted NY residents received their merit offers/financial aid packages yet?

@Massmom72 my daughter got same email late yesterday that says something will be coming in the mail in the next couple of days. Hoping they wouldn’t send that if there was an option to get nothing. Fingers crossed! Good luck.

I got the notification email that I was in the running for a scholarship. I just got the mail and I got the Pride of New York (5k/yr) scholarship! Instate, 1380 sat 101W gpa

@Jeb0602 congratulations :). My son received the same today as well (1580 SAT, 100 UW GPA). Do you know if the Pride of NY scholarship can be used towards books? We live very close to campus so he will be staying home and fees are only $3500…hoping he can use the rest for books :).

I looked up the scholarship on the website and it says “Funds are exclusively for non-tuition costs such as fees” - so that may be the only thing you could be using it for

@“k_atherine.h” , yes it is for non tuition costs so fees and hopefully books. I’m planning on giving a call tomorrow to see how we can apply it. We are in state and qualify for Excelsior so hopefully between the Pride of NY covering non tuition fees and Excelsior covering tuition we’ll have the majority of cost covered :).

Received $5,000 Pride of NY scholarship in the mail yesterday!
