I think they might assess the amount of seats left open. We’ll have to see what they do in the incoming weeks.
I suspect when the admissions staff turned on their computers this morning, they knew exactly how many seats are open (if any). But I agree that it may take a few weeks before they admit people from the waitlist assuming that they have seats open.

With 5 more weeks left to July 1st deadline, I doubt if VT will take anyone off the waitlist this year.
What is the July 1 deadline, and do you have any information about yield on which you base your doubt?
I’m going off the waitlist letter on the portal… It says we will know by July 1st. In previous years they started pulling kids after the deadline, whether OOS or IS. But I’ve not seen any movement this time after the 15th of May.

Is anyone hearing any intel from college advisors or guidance counselors about this year’s yield and the status of the waitlist?

Really Frustrating. I have a feeling the Waitlist may not be used. A Repeat from last year. Lock into another school that did not meet my expectations.

27 more days. Plenty of time.
I hear many applicants have deposits at multiple schools and the schools know this, which makes it hard for them to know for sure how many spots they have.

I am pretty sure they only release on fridays
in state and heard last week–not sure it was friday or not. They were accepted–a couple of females–unsure major–one turned it down to stick with JMU

What makes you think they release from the waitlist only on Fridays?
I can’t assure you that is the case. But I noticed several important announcements had occurred on Fridays. Not that someone else mentioned probably that it is what is happening. We’ll see.
