It was for us too but now the withdraw application button has disappeared and the Application Plan one has moved a little to the left.
Seems like it bodes well. Are you in-state or OOS?
Fingers crossed! OOS
does the withdraw application button mean anything?
Does anyone still have the withdraw app button?
Withdraw button - I donāt think so. No point for the software to disable the button just because a child is admitted. That feature seems excessive.
However, I think getting a letter from a current student (@michel1145) is meaningful, I think.
My friendās son has a 33 ACT thatās not on here. What do we think the score is this year that they will be ālookingā for?
Itās crazy to me how quiet this thread is! When my daughter applied 2 years ago, I think there were close to 1000 replies
I know the acceptances are coming this week, just wanted to hop on and say good luck! My daughter is loving her Clemson experience.
2 posts were split to a new thread: Clemson President Set to Retire Effective December 31
My sonās withdrawal button gone ā¦hoping his 1450 sat OOS helped him !
Is it possible/typical that scholarships and/or honors admission would also be part of any acceptance letter Thursday?
Past experience is that you get wording in your acceptance letter that you are receiving a scholarship, but the actual amount will not be shared until late March, when financial packages are released. If you are depending on a certain number to make it work for your child, itās a pretty long, painful wait to see if they receive enough merit money. Maybe parents can chime in from last year on the amounts their child received relative to stats/scores. For OOS, Itās usually something like 3500, 6500, 8500, or 11500 per year depending on strength of class rank, gpa, test scores. TO students with strong gpa and rank can receive merit as well, but I donāt know how common it is. Anecdotally, from past experience of friends and peers, it seems like a vast majority of high stat kids fall within the 6500 - 8500 range. We have close friends with TO children receiving 6500. 11,500 is typically act 34+ or 35+ Honors invites come out in February, I think, but someone correct me if Iām wrong.
Same here - anyone still have their withdraw application button?
Yeah two years ago my S24 didnāt;t even apply and I was on here watching the button gate posts. It was so much fun!!! My D26 is awaiting her Clemson decision so I am invested this time around, LOL. But with no portal access I have no idea about anything and have not asked her so I am quietly sitting back waiting to see what happens.
I remember that! I think 2 years ago, it disappeared in waves so there was a good amount of speculation as to what it meant. Looks like they cleaned that up or way less people on here this time around.
Iām in the same boat! Trying to just be patient and not share my craziness with my daughter. If I asked her to log into her portal to look for changes in buttons, she would think Iād officially lost my mindš
lol this is why I have the passwords - my son would definitely think I was crazy if he knew I was checking on all of this!
This was us last year. S25ās top two schools were Clemson and our instate option that offered his same program (Virginia Tech). He really wanted Clemson, but needed good merit aid to make it fall under our comfort level for cost. His EA acceptance letter included that there would be merit money coming, but we didnāt find out until March how much it would be.
For reference in case itās helpful - we are OOS, he had a 35 ACT, 4.0 unweighted gpa (4.26 weighted - we get .5 for AP classes and nothing for honors classes), Eagle Scout, four year two team varsity athlete. He got $10k/year. Based on what I saw on the threads here last year and comments on the parents facebook page, I am not aware of any OOS merit awards higher than that (for āregularā merit - I have no idea if there are special named scholarships that only go to like one person kind of thing).
And to add to this, in case anyone here also applied to UTK - with those stats he got a huge merit award at UTK which wouldāve made it less expensive than our instate option. It was the most merit he got anywhere. At the end of the day, though, he just loved Clemson more than everyplace else. (Of course he did⦠because even though the merit got it under our dollar limit, it was still, by far, the most expensive of his choices. And loving the most expensive option is very on brand for this child⦠![]()
do you mind sharing your sonās major?
