Same. My daughter had the buttons earlier today and now they are gone. Comm major. 31 ACT. 4.4/3.9. OOS.
is it better to have or not have buttons?

No, they re-appeared this morning and then disappeared an hour or so ago.
What about the high stat friend:) Ours came back this morning and are now gone again.

I think they’re gone for everyone. So, my guess is that it is not a ‘sign’ one way or another.
My daughter got accepted into a school in Boston yesterday and the button to withdraw was there until the moment the screen became the letter of acceptance. lol.
