Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2024 Admissions

Becoming more and more certain, based on these responses, that having Edit button is a bad sign. So looks like you are in good shape

I like that…I’ll take Edit Term over rejected!

Actually thinking in reverse that having the edit button is probably good possibly? You wouldn’t need to edit anything if you were deferred or rejected? Just bouncing ideas around…

We have plenty of time to bounce ideas around…

Some of the super high stat kids with no edit term may be rejected because they know you’re not going to attend

My twin sister has slightly better stats then my and she has no edit term button. I do…

except all the very high stat kids who posted here all have the button gone. I think not having the button is a good sign

Identical twin experiment is ideal. Do you have same major? Did you both indicate being open to summr term?

I asked my child to look but they haven’t yet. They are a very high stat candidate with 36 ACT and all the extras submitted. I absolutely worry about rejections from supposed safety and targets because they don’t think they’ll attend. My child graduating next year would be in reach category, just mentioning as I hate the way it sounds calling it a safety.

I cant imagine the stress in your house hold!! I hope you both get in! Same majors?

I applied Health Sciences and she applied Criminal Justice. Neither of us indicated interested in the Summer Start program. We are both In State, but our High School is extremely competitive. I have a 3.5UW gpa and she has a 3.8UW. gpa I believe. I have a 28 ACT and she didn’t submit test scores. I also have a better essay and more extracurriculars.

YES! This is NOT my child. But I know several very high stat kids that were straight rejected from UGA because their stats were so high!

Last year summer and bridge kids were deferred to RD. Only fall start get in EA if they do the same as last year anyway. Again- buttons missing or there were not telling of anything last year. But certainly had us all crazy!

What we have here is a semi-scientific twin study!

And there goes my theory that it had something to do with different AOs inputting differently.

Thank you for this info as I have been wondering!

I think this could be true, but I am one of those kids and I demonstrated a lot of interest for Clemson and it is my top choice. I am also applying for a very niche major and have a lot of ecs related to it, so I think it is unlikely that I would be rejected (hopefully).

Do you have the button? I’m high stat but did not demonstrate a lot of interest and have a common major. I don’t have the button but am getting worried about what it means.

Don’t have either button ?

I really don’t have high hopes for myself. I’m extremely worried too because Clemson is my #1 choice and I’ve been wanting to go there since I was a kid.
3.4UW gpa (my high school as a different scale, so Clemson will recalculate this… it could be higher?)
28 ACT
good essay
4 clubs, class officer, 3 jobs, legacy, in state
I applied to health science, where my sister is graduating from next week.

I do not have any buttons anymore. They disappeared yesterday or the day before I think.
