Also not it.
If have edit term, should I? I am ok with starting in summer if it makes it easier to get in.
I think the edit buttons are probably disappearing as theyāre making decisions - not particularly in favor of one way or another. Itās āfunā to speculate, but I bet it means nothing in the end, lol.
That does make sense. It probably goes away as they input final decisions. It really does not make sense to have that button for rejected students (they are rejected no matter when they start) and it does not make sense to have it for accepted students (they are accepted and canāt change their term anymore).
I doubt this, over the last five years, oos yield has exceeded expectations. They actually took fewer oos last year for this reason
finally had a portal change tonight. Major and application number that was in yellow box in no longer there. Hope this means news on friday!
Do you mean the information under the Application profile header? Also decisions are out Thursday, not Friday
Iām confused. I donāt know that we ever had a yellow box? And why would your major change?
Interesting thought on yield but itās certainly not universally true. We are in GA and our high school sends kids to Auburn every year who have UGA/Tech level stats. I canāt think of a single kid I know over the last few years who got into Tech or UGA but not Auburn.
OOS here and I have a son who would LOVE to attend! He would have EDd if it had been an option.
that sucks because my son is from California and Clemson is top 2 for him
They normally waitlist these types of students and you can get off the waitlist if you send a letter of continued interest. Waitlist does not affect their yield, which they are trying to improve.
But Ohio State is a great acceptance even if you donāt get into Clemson.
Our experience last year was that they did not yield protect oos students. In recent years, they have underestimated, not overestimated, oos yield, so donāt agree that being oos with high stats will lead to waitlist.
Does anyone have this statement under their application status:
Share your Penn State pride! Celebrate with us on social media at #PSUBound.
Visit us on campus and get ready for the experience of a lifetime.
What data are you using for expectations? Quickly looking at the stats it seems like OOS yield rate has been around 12% over the last 3 years and that is down quite a bit from years prior to 2021.
The more and more research iāve done, the less confident I am. All of my friends and BF have higher stats than me and donāt have the āedit termā button. A few of my friends have about the same stats as me and do have the button. Pretty sure thatās not good.
Hang in there kiddo ⦠itās a stressful time and we all keep letting our minds wander . Good luck to you and keep the faith .
Thank you!
I thought you said your button was gone now?
