Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2024 Admissions

I wish they mattered more. We had a great rec from a Clemson professor. But I suspect it was not even read this round. Maybe in RD.

perhaps he reached out directly! If only you could have gotten the football coach to write your letter …LOL

Ha! Love it. See you then!

I’d like to change my term but the button seems gone. Any suggestions of how I edit my term?

I was just about to type this. I’m learning from you all for next year! Good luck to everyone!

You wouldn’t be able to this close to release date. If you get deferred, you will have a chance.

Question about majors… Do most (if not all) of EA acceptances get their first choice of major?

Does anyone know of people accepted EA who got their second choice of major? Or is that just a RD thing?

I was just kidding with my question but thx. Just trying to keep the mood light

To those stalking for next year, you’re welcome! We’re on it. And will report results.

We just use zippers because buttons are too complicated, so there is that.

I have seen an acceptance letter saying a student was admitted, but not for their major, last year. But I don’t know if it was EA or RD. As of last year, it was possible.

the data doesn’t add up… With 9570 in state applications recieved, and accepting 4711 of those- that’s a 49% acceptance rate… I don’t understand where the 91% # comes from? Can someone please explain that to me like I’m five?

I suspect the rest of in state 91% was accepted to Bridge.

Button finally gone.
My DS has a 32 ACT, amazing extracurriculars, child of disabled vet, active duty vet, PhD professor, no college parent, with a beautiful essay, 4 APs, 10 Honors, great recommendations, and a very mediocre GPA. He has been accepted to EVERY private and out of state college and to NONE in-state in Florida. He was accepted EA to several nationally ranked T50 schools and denied from FAU, FGCU, USF, FIU (we were hoping for that in-state tuition). That is the difference with hollistic vs non-hollistic application review. We’ll see what Clemson does.

Exactly

that’s not what it says… In-state applications received
9,570
In-state accepted
4,711
For the 2023 application cycle, 91 percent of in-state applicants were accepted into Clemson via Summer Start, or Fall admit, or invited into the Bridge to Clemson program.

Soo… I guess from those 4711 accepted, 8% maybe started in January
?

Perhaps it means the remaining 3997 applicants that made up the 91% were invited to the bridge program. I think the word ā€œorā€ is the key. At least that’s how I interpret it.
