I believe they removed them when it was the last day to give additional info etc. join us in the deferred thread if you’d like.
What’s the thread link?
They just wanted the defer form at Clemson, nothing else. If not done yet, it’s too late at this point but it was optional.
We did, and they uploaded it to her portal for final review. Can’t hurt
Anyone hear from the Lyceum program yet or know when they make decisions?
does anyone have a specific date as to when they’re releasing decisions? guessing the 14th or 15th but i’m not sure.
I spoke with admissions today and they confirmed 2/15
ugh. My son picked business but he wasn’t wedded to it. Would have definitely chosen something else if he had known
It’s ok. He can switch when he gets on campus if he ends up going.
Hopefully his second choice major isn’t a capped major!
What are the capped majors?
What are the closed majors at Clemson?
The opportunity to change into one of the closed majors listed here cannot be guaranteed:
- Communication.
- Construction science and management.
- Health science (all concentrations).
- Language and international health.
- Nursing.
- Sports communication.
Did anyone else’s portal change tonight?
What change do you see?
Heard back today. Was selected as a semi-finalist.
I was trying to look at some statistics online to get a gauge of my chances of getting in. I’m oos with a 4.1 (my school has an ap cap). Online it says the gpa is a 4.3 but I don’t feel like that sounds accurate. Any insights to my chances or the actual average gpa?
I was accepted EA into Psychology. I’m OOS, applied test optional, unweighted 3.9, weighted 4.4
My daughter is OOS, unweighted 3.99, Weighted 4.4. 1360 SAT. Applied EA to Food Science and was deferred.
I’m not sure where you are from, but the majority of OOS from last year are from the east coast states, Texas and California. I’m not sure if where you’re from plays a part in their decision.
I do remember from my tour during the admissions presentation they said choice of major plays a huge part, and, although they didn’t out right say it they mentioned several times that if Clemson was in the mix of your choices to apply early so I think when the application gets sent also plays into an acceptance or deferral during EA.
