Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

Oops, forgot to remove the UTK Haslam & Chancelor, but yes accepted Clemson.

The overall admission acceptance rate when all is said and done, considering the increase in applications this year, I assume will be at 38% or more than likely less.

Link? I would highly doubt 50% acceptance rate on EA, but willing to stand corrected if you can document that.

For those in limbo who are hearing multiple things from multiple sources, I would advise you to check for yourself through the University. For instance, some folks told us to just apply in a non-popular major to get in the front door at Clemson and then we could change into Nursing. I called the Nursing admissions office and asked this very direct question. I was told it was not true at all. They are limited by clinical seats/capacity and few to none transfer out of nursing to create spots. The spots are filled on the front end. I can’t speak to other closed majors, but it is only fair for everyone to know the lay of the land so they can make appropriate decisions.

My husband came across it on Tiger Net. It could be wrong; as others have said, last year’s EA acceptance was lower. This is why I said “apparently.”

I understand. Tigernet is a Clemson athletics fan forum and not affiliated with the University. The website is not about academics. I just want to make sure folks get factual information, especially for those not already a part of the Clemson community.

I know what Tiger Net is, thanks. I never said it was affiliated with the University.

Thank you! D25 accepted to BFA Studio Art program at Auburn, deferred at Clemson. We’re OOS for both.

Question: Besides fall grades is there any benefit to adding new information? Will they really look at it? S25 got nominated for a scholarship but won’t know the results until the summer. Getting nominated is an accomplishment but wasn’t sure it will move the needle at all.

He was accepted at Auburn but deferred at Clemson. 33 ACT but 3.88 uw gpa which is where I’m thinking he got hurt a bit. He just wants the wait over, as do we all. Bums me out b/c I feel like I’m wishing this last year away waiting rather than enjoying it.

I’d mentioned the nomination. What could it hurt?

Question: is there a chance that a student accepted EA but not offered a merit scholarship might be considered for a merit scholarship in the spring? Stats and ranking will be going up more this semester so we weren’t sure if it is possible to update anything in the portal to possibly be considered for a scholarship. Thx for any advice!!

Are you in state or OOS? I suppose it is always a possibility closer to May but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on it. More likely if you are in state.

Have you or will you submit the FAFSA? I’m guessing that is your next course of action for money.

Unfortunately we are OOS, which I know makes it much more unlikely. Yes- will be submitting FAFSA.

Merit awards from public universities tend to give higher merit amounts to oos students to convince them to forgo their lower cost in state public’s.

But does that mean they will offer one later if they haven’t initially?

Someone on FB said they called admissions and there were 40,000 EA apps. Crazy if it’s accurate.

Yes, we were at Clemson on Friday and told 40,000 applied EA this year! That is accurate and CRAZY!!

Do you know how that compares to last year?

I believe it was 62,000 for last year for the entire cycle. I do not know how many of those were EA.
