My friend D got off waitlist for Engineering around May 15 th week . She ended up choosing Columbia 
Did she get off Columbia waitlist too? Or did she get in RD
This means mostly no for us waiting ones with great hopes!!! we should have heard by May 15th if we also got the admission I feel.
Seems last year bulk of WL acceptances were on June 1st, which is about 2 weeks from the enrollment deadline of may 15th. I am hoping this weekend will be the bulk, i.e. 25-45 acceptances.
Please post if anyone gets off the WL.
The enrollment deadline has always been May 1. It was moved to the 15th only this year due to FAFSA delays.
So if WL acceptances were on June 1 last year, that would have been a month after the enrollment deadline.
I had called the admissions and they said that the emailed were sent out that day which we did receive and decisions will go out on June 1st
Does that mean the ones who receive the email will get off the waitlist or it’s it just a general accept or reject decision?

I’m not sure whether you’re talking about the initial waitlist decision but the email I’m referring to is the email asking about continued interest to remain on the waitlist. Can you specify which email you’re referring to?
The waitlist letter says by June 30th

Ok. So only the students who’ve received the email (Checking in on your Waiting List Plans) have the possibility of getting off the waitlist am I right? And are the students who’ve received the email definitely getting off or can they still be rejected?
I emailed the admissions email a few days ago and they said i “am not far off” in terms of the waitlist for COE, but I didn’t get the second waitlist interest email. Not sure what this means but I’m guessing people only at the very top of the waitlist got the second email.
Carnegie Mellon’s waitlist is not ranked.
