<p>Oh I got a rejection email, haha. It was pretty awesome. I felt like they never actually came out and said it though, they were like, oh we read through all of them they were all really good…here’s some other scholarships to apply for…

<p>Well, I’ve now joined the land of rejection with the rest of you all…! I agree with Smilingismyfav3…here is a copy of the letter…</p>
<p>We have just concluded reviewing the nearly 2,200 Semifinalist applications. It was a very difficult review process as there were many impressive Semifinalists in this year’s pool. However, with our limited resources we can only award 250 scholarships.</p>
<p>Although your application did not advance in our program, we are hopeful that you may qualify for one of the many other scholarships provided each year. Use the links below for additional information. Please pay very close attention to deadlines and eligibility requirements as they vary from program to program.</p>
<p>pretty generic, right? I mean, since we all spent a ton of time on this application, the least that they could do is make it a tad bit personalized…</p>
<p>JamesJr, I think we are among the poor unfortunates deemed unworthy to receive one of those touching emails. And here I was, planning on framing it too. :)</p>
<p>^And since I didn’t exactly spend a ton of time on this application when compared to some of my others (like my UChi app), I’m not that disheartened. Anyway, there are bigger fish in the sea. ^__^</p>

<p>I have a question- do finalists automatically win either a 10K or 20K scholarship? I’m confused about the award.</p>
<p>Yes you get at least 10K and 50 of the 250 get 20K.</p>
