Did anyone receive official notification and if so, via e-mail or what format? Thanks.

From the website (re: Questions being asked as to HOW one is notified)

“Only those students whose applications advance to the Semifinalist round are notified of their selection by mail in mid to late November. Applicants who do not receive written notification by the first week in January can assume their application did not advance. A list of Semifinalists will be posted on our website shortly after notification letters are sent.”

Congrats to everyone who has found out from me that they have won… I am not sure when official notifications will come out, but I won’t be on this evening and probably not at least until Friday afternoon, so feel free to send PMs, but I may not respond quickly. I’m not sure exactly how it works, but I know last year that once I found out semifinalists were being emailed (it’s done in waves over at least a few hours), I was able to log into the site to find my name on the list before I got the email. Again, not sure exactly how I did this.

how do you log in to the coca cola website?

Has anyone received email about scholarship?

I have not received an email yet, and according to MythBuster-my name was on the list. :)

hey guys the list is up!

made semi =DDD

It is official…yahoo!!!

Congratulations Emily

Congrats to the semifinalists… since the list is up, I won’t be responding to any of the PMs, but feel free to post questions here and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks Stefan!
… also received letter in the mail today, and email. Mythbuster I will be in touch.

congratulations emily!
i’m a semifinalist too it just came in the mail today!!

Congrats to all who earned semifinalist! I am very sad I didn’t get to semifinalist. Hopefully this isn’t a premonition of my EA decision…? I think the lack of essays and standardized test scores on the application didn’t help me.

where did you apply EA?
didn’t we have to include our standardized test scores?

^Yale.

We probably did. I can’t remember now. I’ve been filling out so many lately… I know there wasn’t an official score report or anything. Eh…

A kid from my town got semifinalist, and he does seem very well-rounded and accomplished. I’ll have to search for other people I know.

Semi-finalist! And I received an e-mail informing me of this yesterday afternoon. Did anyone else receive an e-mail as well?

Semi-finalist!!!
Does anyone have any information about the colleges that kids who make the semifinals/get the scholarship end up at? Just wondering to try my luck. =P

Made semi-finalist list!!! Does anyone know if this is something we can include on common app accomplishments or resume? Also, what are the stats of most students that become finalists?

TO answer PrakStar’s question, most finalists end up at HYPSM. Some also go to other Ivy League Schools and there are a few who spread out other places. At one point, I had the official statistics, but I think the HYPSM was well over 50%. I guess the reason for that is because Coca Cola is like a 0.3% finalist rate from the first application, so naturally most of those people make the 6-10% acceptance rates at top schools. I’m speaking for Finalists though, not semifinalists, although there is probably a strong correlation there as well.

Congrats!!!
