College Application Invitations.

So,
Intend to do a Major in Accounting or Economics. Have applied to NYU Stern and am waiting for the decision.

Meanwhile, I’ve been getting application invites from a few places,

1-Hult Business School.
2-Tulane University
3-Babson College.
4- University of Denver.

Are any of these places any good in my field, and should I consider applying in the near future to them?
I researched a bit and babson college seems to be a great place for my intended major, what are it’s prospects in terms of job placements esp in banking?!

bump

I saw a Babson grad on Shark Tank, they were impressed with him, lol

<a href=“Experiential Education | Babson College”>http://www.babson.edu/executive-education/recruiting-partnerships/Pages/employment-reports.aspx

2&3= yes, 4=ok

what can you and your family afford? have you run the net price calculator at each of these schools and talked to your parents about what they can provide?

If you are asking about Babson specifically, you may want to look at job placement via its website or ask about their programs specifically in their forum, you may get more responses there

@jkeil911 no FInAid on those schools for me. International…

In and of themselves, the invitations to apply mean nothing. They are attempts by the schools to boost their rankings. They do not mean the school has a particular interest in you beyond “we know you’re looking at colleges and we are a colllege.”

So don’t limit yourself to these schools. In America, these schools and their business schools or economic departments have different reputations. Babson is particularly known for one of the best programs for students interested in entrepreneurship. NYU is known for being one of the best in International Business, Accounting, and Finance. Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranks NYU 14th, Hult 21st, Babson 26th, Denver 67th, Tulane 74th. All are going to provide you with an excellent business education, but some might be significantly stronger in accounting (NYU) than others.

Often in the US, economics is part of schools of letters and social sciences rather than business schools. So you can get a very good economics education in a school that lacks a business school. Keep this in mind.

You have private resources for your education, then? Tulane will offer internationals upto $20K in merit, I have been told. NYU is notoriously stingy, but I don’t know if that applies to international students. Of these campuses, I think Denver is the most beautiful, and Colorado the most beautiful region of the country.

What about merit?
