Accepted!!
Accepted!
@incomingvbied @daphnecrane @ColumbiaxQueen @theriley106 Are any of you guys going to the undergraduate planning day next week on Tuesday lol
Do you mean the online financial workshop? Or something else?
Oh, wait the financial one is on the 10th. No, I can’t go next week because I am still in classes in CT.
@MadeMyDadProud I would’ve, but the registration for it seems closed
Hello everyone! This is my first time actually posting, but I have been eagerly watching this thread since I submitted my application to Columbia GS for the regular decision deadline.
Did anyone else get a thick envelope from USPS recently (a week ago) that looked like an acceptance package; but ended up being a pretty comprehensive prospective students packet from Columbia GS? It felt like such a tease to get something like that so close to the decision deadline haha.
Just curious. Thanks and good luck to all of us!!
@Mustang1986 I received a package. It looked like a briefcase and had a photo book about the school. I received mine before I applied though, about two months ago.
Thanks! That’s exactly what I received. I’m keeping my fingers crossed these next few weeks. Hoping to hear a decision either way soon!
@Mustang1986 When did you submit your app? I didn’t receive one of those packets. You should be getting one this week I assume.
Also, making this note for any future students looking at this thread, I didn’t receive an email when I got accepted. I checked manually on the portal and found my acceptance letter!
Our acceptance letters were sent in a thin FedEx envelope. Had a simple two-pocket folder with the letter and other documents listing the things we need to gather. It was sent after the online acceptance letter.
If it’s a thick envelope, its probably the really well-made brochure for GS. That packet is seriously one of the most well-made and finely detailed promotional packages I’ve seen for colleges lol. I give props to the creators/designers of it
Any regular decision applicant got the news?
@NoSpeakEnglish I applied RD. My application was completed by 11/08 and I heard on 11/27.
@NoSpeakEnglish My application was moved to RD but I applied ED.
Hey y’all. I applied to Columbia GS as RD. I am so anxious to know the decision. I look at this thread everyday to deduce my chance into GS. They look very slim, but I am hoping they would accept me.
Wow thats
Wow that was fast. Within 19 days? Congrats! I completed my application on 11/01 but still seeing nothing haha.
They say its Rolling Admission at this point. Have you called to check in what the status of you app is?
What are your stats? GPA?
Hey all, I’m applying for Fall 2020 admissions and have a few questions regarding the College Entrance Examination Scores section (I emailed the Admissions Office but their reply wasn’t very clear nor helpful)
- For those who submitted ACT scores, what did you guys do with the boxes that weren't applicable to your test? For example, "English/Writing" score was eliminated and "English Language Arts (ELA)" score was created starting from Sep 2015 test. The ACT section in the application has boxes for both English/Writing score and ELA score. Should we leave either the English/Writing box or the ELA box blank depending on when we took the test?
- Same for "Writing (Pre-2016)" box (which is supposed to be out of 12 points) and "Writing" box (out of 36), we can't have both scores in one test. Should we leave either of them blank?
- Anyone got accepted without submitting official test scores and official transcripts during the admissions process (were you asked for an interview or contacted by the Admissions to clear thing up about the material)? GS Admissions Office claims that the application can be reviewed with unofficial documents, but I'm just curious if it is "preferable" in any way if we submit official documents during the admissions process.
Thanks in advance!
