Has anyone gotten a missing application or financial aid materials email? Cause I think they usually send it after they’ve done a preliminary read.
I’ve just got one email about this semester’s courses yesterday. Don’t know whether they just want to make sure people submit things, but not a bad sign I would say!
@eepbeep I didn’t get the email. Perhaps it could be indicative of something. Would you be willing to share, generally, what they said?
I guess the financial aid portal is officially closed now.
They said that I didn’t include my courses for this semester in the course information section of my application (which I suppose is a part of the Coalition application that I submitted a while ago, since I assumed that courses for this semester will be separately listed in the Cirriculum report). I think it’s likely that you didn’t get the same email because you included this information in your application already.
@eepbeep Oh. Well, in that case, it is indicative of something–– it is indicative of the fact that they are reviewing apps. Shocker. Lol. Godspeed.
@eepbeep wait how is that a good sign? doesn’t that just mean you didn’t fill out the coalition app correctly and they’re just asking you to do it so they have all the materials they require?
Some people say they’ll ask for it only if they would want to read your application in-depth, so that’s sort of a good sign for some people. I personally don’t feel like reading anything into it, but at least it shows that they’ve started reading things, and decisions are going to come out soon.
Hi, guys! GOOD EVENING.
HAS ANYONE SUBMITTED AN EMAIL IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS AND GOTTEN A RESPONSE?
i submitted two emails and still, no response. it’s difficult because it was an immediate question. understandably, the covid-19 situation isn’t helping but has anyone heard anything???
@heyigotnoclue I emailed them a week ago and they responded the next day, just email them again.

someone save me
It’s so stressful because some schools want a deposit by May15th and some aren’t telling me until May 15th AHHHHH. It’s going to be so weird to finish my semester and not know where I’m going yet.
@daynamarie101 i feel ya, all my decisions are in early may. I’m stressing out.
Did anyone else’s financial aid portal go from “Documents and Messages”, “Home” to just “Home” now?
I guess that means they’re likely already done with the bulk of decisions and they’re starting to make financial aid decisions.
Also we lose access to materials tracking in 7 days.
Mine did too!
I don’t think that has any bearing on the status of applications. The offices don’t really communicate with each other, so what is happening in the financial aid office is completely independent of what’s happening in the admissions office.
help - columbia has officially ghosted me ;-; no response for at least 2 weeks -_-
