I wrote about Coolidge’s humility and service in the second essay and said he would cut government spending to reduce the deficits. Anyone know any finalists from the past and what they wrote on?
Anyone heard anything? Hoping we don’t have to wait until July to hear an update
In my second essay, I wrote about how the rhetoric he used was respectful and how that relates to the current political climate. For my third, I said that he would cut a specific military policy that compensates veterans “wastefully”, similarly to how he treated the Bonus Bill back then. I felt super bad writing the third essay because I didn’t agree with it, but it was from his POV so
Has anyone heard anything yet? I haven’t heard from the Coolidge Foundation.
I haven’t heard anything else regarding the scholarship since the notification date was postponed. I have been getting emails from the Coolidge foundation regarding virtual events
No news here since the postponement email.

Ah, never mind—got my status update 10 minutes ago. Looks like they are rolling out today.
Just got an update–not chosen.
@kalanithi thank you! And no, I didn’t; I just checked the portal.
Not chosen. Anyone know any finalists and what his or her qualifications are?
I also received an update - I am a Coolidge Senator.
Received an email that I’m a senator as well
My daughter was selected as a senator as well. Do you how significant is it for a college application?
@icecream90 I would assume an award with competition this stiff is fairly prestigious, but I think the main thing to take from it is that someone qualified to be in the top 100 for this is DEFINITELY qualified to get into most colleges in the US. Congrats to your daughter–I’m sure someone so driven and prepared is ready to be successful in college.
