Cornell 2014 ED-ers!

right-on! :D

but I’ll get my backup-backups done this weekend (state colleges, since deadline for honors program is soon).

Yeah same, I was really excited because I thought Miami University had no supplemental essays, but much to my surprise their honors application has three 750 word essays.

I started since a lot of mine are due Jan. 1 or close to it and Dec. 16-31 doesn’t give me enough time to finish them all, what with school work, the holidays, and my job taking up a lot of time. I’m doing the essays I consider to be “fun” ones first though. They don’t seem so tedious when you’re writing about a favorite book or something

I’m writing my essays for UPenn right now, which i find to be very similar to Cornell. THe Page 217 essay is a pain in the ass to write though. Where do i see myself in 10 years? A Cornell alumni living the dream lol.

I’m guessing we can start checking application status’ by Wednesday @ the earliest?

I guess so, or perhaps this afternoon? They said the system would be up early this week and noted that it is usually updated in the afternoon… so fingers crossed for today!

I hope so too! Not that worried since some of my materials were mailed, school does not use online system much. Probably won’t have most of my items filed anyway. Lets hope!

The only things I mailed were the financial aid information / BUS supplement, and my transcript oO Which is kind of ironic, since it would be understandable for them to not have the mailed documents filed yet for FA, yet the only electronic one is the one they’re missing --

Less than a month to go!

Exactly, they are probably still missing our CSS Profiles. Let the countdown begin! BRB, back to my research paper… falls asleep

I just woke up from accidentally falling asleep writing my history paper T_T 4 more hours to write the second!

Taking AP European Hist this year, pretty wack.

lol, taking IB European History HL this year, it’s feisty.

URGENT…i’m international student applying to cornell. cornell still hasn’t told me whether any of my material hasn’t been sent though on the website it says admission office will notify mid nov. What is mid Nov in american culture? need help from you. thx!

The online tracking system is working now so you can login with your applicant ID and check if your materials have been recieved.

The trackings up. How do we know if we are missing materials? I don’t see a checklist for mine anywhere listing the missing materials… They said they have received all my materials, but how do I know specifically which ones?

^ I’d like to know that, too. My financial aid to do list also says I’m missing my CSS Profile and NCP. I’ll wait it out a couple of days to see if it changes.

Hm, I think I’m going to call tomorrow and query about the CSS thing… I thought it would be fixed by the time the status system was up and working, however, no luck o_O

Also, i thought clicking the “requirements” link on the status would tell me if I was missing anything… I was kind of expecting something similar to how financial aid is set up, however, that just led to the admin req chart -_-

So wisdom, I’m guessing you have the same message as me? The All of your materials have been received + application will be forwarded to the admissions staff?

Theres no checklist of materials! Hope they will continue updating the chart, or adding any chart on soon. Don’t contact them about the CSS Profile, CollegeBoard says that if they sent it, the college has received it, but has not processed it into the systems yet.

I emailed the admissions office on Monday about not having my CSS Profile turned it. They said that college board hasn’t sent out the CSS profiles yet, so that is why nobody has them in.

Oh really? CB states that they send mine on the 2nd or something. And CB states that if they said its sent, its at the college, but maybe not processed/updated yet.
