Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

Alright thanks @Tryharding

Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone else applied to SHA. It seems there are a ton of applicants for CALS but I haven’t seen anyone yet for SHA. If you did apply, what were your stats, experiences, and interview (if you did one) like? Anyways, I’m just super nervous and good luck to all! The wait is killing me lol

Right now there is no point in stressing for a month until results come out in December- we all turned in our apps in time and for now, we might as well pretend that Cornell doesn’t exist (biggest hypocrite over here) Good luck to all!!

HUMAN ECOLOGY SUBMITTED WOOOOOOOOOOO GO BIG RED

GO BIG RED.

Good job everybody!! Take a break, watch some Netflix, and eat some Halloween candy-- we all deserve it

How’d you guys submit the financial aid info? cornell never sent me login info

@Geocach

for css noncustodial parent waiver petition… you need 2 people to send letters backing you up. its 1130, and one of mine still hasn’t yet :))
I’m actually feeling far more excited than stressed though. Anyone else?

@ArthurDent42 I did indeed put in research, mine was more concentrated around biochem though cuz i switched everything over to physics pretty recently. Did you put in research experience?

I am applying to engineering so I probably won’t get in. Just a 1st gen, low income, hispanic trying to live the dream. Good luck everyone, I am sure all of you guys will get in and sorry for being annoying.

Good luck to everyone, dw about financial aid not being complete tonight. You will have another opportunity in Mid-Nov to submit what you’re missing.

@applicantcor Wait how can you submit it later? The deadline says the 1st

Well you should have submitted financial aid information. (you cannot submit supplement or application past nov 1)
If you missed some stuff w/ financial aid than you have a chance to fix it in mid nov

realized my common app essay was a couple hundred words too long a few minutes before the deadline, freaked out, and sent everything in like 5 minutes late. (what I get for doing the whole thing on google drive instead of checking the word count on the website) I did get confirmation emails for the supplement and the common app so I hope its okay ugh. first app submitted. gonna try really hard not to let this happen again (really really doubt I got in anyway) :frowning: Does anyone know around when results come out?

Okay. do you know what the financial aid info is exactly? Is that the CSS form? Also, the tax return form needs to be scanned over by the 1st, right?

So my counselor accidentally reported my gpa as weighted and 3.80/5 instead of unweighted 3.80/4. Am i screwed? Can i get it fixed before my app goes into the trash? im freaking out

@Geocach they’ll see your transcript too, which has the right gpa.

@arulster would you notify them regardless?

@Geocach yeah that might be best, just don’t worry about it because they will see your correct GPA. It never hurts to let them know though
