@TryHarding
Was it because you left something out or was it because they needed extra info?
Did anyone send in their first quarter grades? Do you guys think it is too late to send them in? I just had my interview so I don’t think they are finalized on my decision.
@icybal99 i think just send them it can never hurt (unless ur grades arent ideal)
When you guys say “asked” for tax forms do you mean it says you need to turn it in in your portal or did they email/call you?
To the person who was contacted for additional info, did you leave out information or did they need information not typically found on the CSS?
This is making me so nervous. Now I feel like I definitely didn’t get in.
but speaking of interviews i “interviewed” with this alumni lady and she emphasized that it is NOT an evaluative interview but I think someone else mentioned that it may be??
For some colleges the interview matters, for others it’s basically just an information session if an alumni is nearby
@NICE8x Same here
@senioritis07
Could you tell me approximately when did you get that “Your app has been forwarded for review” in the app status page?
I think it maybe late for others since our app went in late. Mine went in on about 17th, thanks to collegeboard.
@NICE8x I am on the same boat as you. I NEED my nov sat subject test scores to be considered. What’d you end up doing???
Hello.
I took subj tests in November and rushed them to Cornell, but obvs collegeboard is taking a long time to send them. I NEED THESE SCORES TO BE CONSIDERED WITH MY APP I DID VERY WELL.
Any advice fellow Cornell-applicants??
Thanks guys
Sorry, there is no guarantee November scores will be seen. October is the last recommended date.
@fzm777 I didnt leave anything out they just needed more information so they could continue reviewing my FA application
If they already reviewed your application they are not going to go back and look at your scores unless you get deferred, then they’ll look at them when the review all the regular decision apps
@Tryharding
Some of us here are worried that we wont be getting any aid since we have not been asked for anything. Which is kind of indirect rejection for us. I think maybe they are going through in the order that they got the apps, and we may still have a chance. Could you tell us approximately when were your admissions material complete and you got that “your app has been forwarded for review” in app status?
Mine went on 17th, thanks to College Board’s lightning fast score delivery, so maybe that is the reason.
@fzm777 mine said that the day I got my id and password. I took the November sat but I didnt report that I was going to be taking it, but they had my act and some of my subject tests. Not being asked for anything isn’t a sign of rejection in my opinion because that just means they have everything from you or they may not have gotten to your FA yet
Thanks a lot @Tryharding ! That certainly relieved me.
@Ja97cob I emailed an admissions person at Cornell (I had their card). Basically I asked if there was anything I could do to get the score included because he had said to me in person that Nov scores could be included. I know the earliest I will get a response is Monday because they are off on break.
Hey so I remember reading that for ED Cornell would accept the October ACT. That’s the one I did best on (32) and I emailed whoever was in charge of admissions questions/issues for my area. They said they received and would be uploaded to my app for the CALS committee that looks over my app to see. I hope that means they haven’t made the decision without the score. Thoughts?
On the Cornell Financial Aid website it says under To Do Item (Student Prior Year Federal Tax) and for status it says initiated. For description it says:
Please submit a copy of your (the student’s) 2014 federal income tax returns, including all schedules and W2 forms, or send us a signed statement that you were not required to file. Blank non-filing statements are available on our website (http://www.finaid.cornell.edu/forms). This should be sent to our office, not IDOC. You can submit this information to Financial Aid and Student Employment via ONE of the below methods. Please include the student’s name and date of birth.
Do I have to submit this?
Has Cornell been contacting you guys over this weekend/Thanksgiving break?
