for the supplemental essay portion how are you guys writing it? like using your ec’s and relating them to human ecology or wherever or how?
Ssup y’all. Is it in order for one to apply to more than one university ed?
@majorelcapitan It is not allowed to apply ED + ED OR ED + SCEA. Image it this way: You get into ED at one school but you’re obligated to go obviously, but at the same time you get into school 2 ED and you’re also obligated to that school. This is part of why it’s banned for other reasons as well.
Who’s applying for PAM at Cornell?
Anyone have tips for applying to Engineering?? It seems like everyone on this thread is talking about the other colleges but I would love some engineering help. Do my chances really increase applying ED or is the acceptance just higher because better students apply ED?

@xcrunner309 Hey I’m currently a freshman engineer at Cornell and got in RD, but with legacy. I knew I really wanted to go to Cornell, but my parents didn’t let me go the ED route. However, if you really want to get into COE, I’d apply early simply because it demonstrates interest in the school. I don’t think they necessarily take better students ED, but the acceptance rate is high ED since most people are contractually bound to attend, so Cornell and many schools fill a large part of their incoming class in the ED rounds hence a higher acceptance rate.

@seniorlife555 Yes, according to the common app for cornell, you are required 2 but are allowed 3. If your third teacher knows you and can describe you in ways differently than the first 2 then submit a third, otherwise it’d be just repetitive and the admissions officers will get bored of reading the same thing over again
How many international students do they take in AEM???

@Gatortristan That actually did happen a few years back around this time, idk about you but the little clock on the common app dashboard kind of scares me so use that as motivation, young one

@Gatortristan No need to stress out! (well of course there is) but stress can usually cause more harm than good, especially when talking about mental health. There’s no start/stop date to when you can write a top-tier essay or whatever else you may be struggling with, take things one day at a time and you’ll do great.
Also to everyone else here: How much non-generic stuff did you say about cornell in your supplement? Also about how much of your essay was about cornell itself? I tried to finagle it as much as possible but they might see through me
@Homsar Thanks i appreciate the encouragement! As far as the supplement I just finished it lol. I included a lot about my experiences and how they relate to the college I’m applying to i.e.human ecology . I did a lot of research bout it so include specific things about the school that interest you
