To shed some light on the timing issue, rising sophomores at Cornell just completed their housing selections for next year and a few are still waiting on assignments. I’m guessing they can’t release any transfer admissions until the housing for current students is cleared up.
does the checklist always disappear before decision is released?
TO here. Talked to Cornell transfer coordinator and she said decisions will start to come out on the 22nd due to a processing delay
Same. Nolan applicant, but I assume it applies to all schools.
Same. My daughter just emailed the Nolan advisor. Processing delay. Decisions will go out on the 22nd.
Thank you for the updates, everyone. Much appreciated.
Has anyone not had their IDOC and Fin Aid stuff processed yet or is it just CAS? Heard that they’re slower- but really unfortuante if we get decision but not the aid with it, as it is such a huge determinant factor
A parent of mine is an alumnus of MIT and got an email today mentioning that the government’s budget cuts have led to fewer admitted students. The email reads in part:
At MIT, these changes have already necessitated budget cuts across every office and department, hiring freezes and layoffs, and a 13% drop in the number of graduate students we were able to admit to research programs. We anticipate further cuts. And of course, impacts like these, and others, are damaging peer institutions too – the broad research ecosystem that spurs breakthrough discoveries.
will cornell start releasing decisions depending on when we submitted our app? Or is it just random
I don’t think it’s based on when we submitted i think it’s random, in guessing they reviewed all apps after due date? They’re not released as they’re reviewed? I’m guessing I could be so wrong
Could this just be grad programs
As a current ambassador for one of the colleges. From the data that I’ve been told, there is an increase in the # of students admitted.
The current students have not received their FA yet. I’m anticipating that the transfer students would have to wait till all the FAs for current students are completed.
Mengdebumeng, do you mean in the number of transfer students admitted? Or regular? And are you referring just to the college for which you are an ambassador?
Cornell admitted 13% more first year students for the Class of ‘29. This was reported by the school a few weeks ago after Ivy Day.
“Processing” was gone, I can’t see “Processing” anymore in my finacial aid portal
’
My to do list is gone for financial aid portal
Same here, maybe they are done processing.
to do list is gone for me as well
what do you mean the to do list has disappeared? as in there are no more tasks?
