Exactly as coolman said, Hillary actually got more votes. You can try to use Obama’s little sneaky lie (Oh…I took my name off the ballot to be fair), but truth was, he left it off so he wouldn’t be beaten badly before Super Tuesday. He even ran an aggresive campaign trying to get people to go and vote Uncommited to make Hillary look bad.

Counting votes for a person, no fuzzy math, actually “I vote Hillary” or “I vote Obama” votes, in the WHOLE US (not just the states the DNC has decided should count) - Hillary won more votes than Obama, and more than any other primary contender of either party in history. She did amazing, her campaign didn’t start out well, but starting in March she did pretty good considering she continually beat Obama despite the biased media’s attempts to push her out of the race. So the second half of her campaign was great, much better ran than Obama’s. But it was too late, I understand that. Obama is the Democratic Nominee, and there’s nothing that can be done about it. The DNC would rather lose than choose Hillary, and that’s fine with me.

Everyone seems to forget the Superdelegates were chosen to choose the more capable candidate. They were created to avoid more McGovern-type candidates. Obama fits the mold perfectly…the Superdelegates NEED to override him - but they won’t simply because he’s black. So - he gets to be the nominee, and then he loses.

Now, Soccer_Guy… you’re starting to get a little out of control with your fanaticism. You can’t turn Obama into a villain simply because he followed the rules like every other candidate did.

Michigan and Florida consciously voted to move their primaries before the DNC cutoff date. They knew full well when they made that vote that there would be repercussions. Obama and all the others followed the rules established by the DNC ruling and took their names off the ballot. Hillary did not because she thought she could win the states.

To suggest that Superdelegates won’t override Obama (who, in a state by state break down of electorates, is dominating McCain) simply because he’s black is playing the race card in the same way you have railed against people using sexism against Hillary.

As much as you all would like to think people who support Obama are just blinded by the messiah, most of us actually support his overall policy vision, his commitment to a transparent government, and his ability to represent the United States in a positive way to the world.

Just look at that faith forum last night - McCain was Bush all over again, just giving radical heavy-footed answers to complex situations while Obama used his education and intellect to delve into the nuance of these complex global situations.

McCain played perfectly into his base, but I would expect more from an Ivy League graduate.

My friend forwarded a video to me today via email…if you watch it and can still support Obama (it’s short) - then…you’re a heartless creature. You tell me I should vote Democrat no matter what? No - not all Democrats are created equal. Hillary Clinton voted against what was shown in this video…Obama voted for it.

Well I’m really disappointed in u on this one. In ur fight to find Obama as a bad person you surely stooped. You used a video that quotes Alan Keyes as it’s political source (haha, he’s even too extremely right for his own party) and then at the end guides you to a site called “NoHussein.org”…a little bigoted I’d say.

Anyway, as far as I can tell this is the bill Obama discusses on page 132 in his book The Audacity of Hope. He is talking about how his opponents could use various votes to make him look bad. He mentions this one…“There was a bill sponsored by antiabortion activists that on its face sounded pretty reasonable enough-it mandated lifesaving measures for premature babies (the bill didn’t mention that such life saving measures were already the law)-but also extended “personhood” to previable fetuses, thereby effectively overturning Roe v Wade; in the poll, [Obama did polls to see if negative ads worked], I was said to have ‘voted to deny lifesaving treatment to babies born alive’.”

Now does that sound familiar?

Shame on you for believing such propaganda you Hillary-maniac.

I found Obama’s stance on this issue downright despicable. One, he votes against this act meant to save (living) babies’ lives, and two, he lies about it- he says he never voted against this act. I am generally all for abortion rights but voting against this act is something I found downright shameful. Not even the hardcore National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) supported Obama’s decision on this one. What was he thinking?

Actually, the language of the bill did threaten to overturn Roe vs. Wade and that’s why Obama stood against it. Do some research that doesn’t come from radical right wing propaganda sources spreading lies on the internet.

When asked about the bill, Obama said he never voted against it. WHAT?!?!? He actually had the balls to say he never voted against it, after voting against it.

Do you really think this is propaganda? He voted against a bill that was preventing infanticide, and that’s that. In this situation, the baby has been born already. What is there to misconstrue? If he really felt so strongly about the language of the law, when asked about it, he would have said something to the extent of: “The law threatened to overturn Roe Vs. Wade, so I opposed it.” Instead, Obama just flat out denied that he had ever opposed the bill! The Obama campaign apologized a week later for Mr. Obama’s fallacious remarks. What a great change this man would be for our country! We’ve never seen lies or deceit like this before.

How exactly did a bill preventing infanticide threaten to overturn Roe V. Wade? Not everything Obama does wrong is right-wing propaganda you know.

The bill required doctors to give medical care to a baby that would survive a late abortion. We’re not talking about a fetus here- we’re talking about a baby. It was basically preventing infanticide, because the baby was born already. Obama’s stance was wrong if you look at it from either a pro-choice or pro-life standpoint because the baby has been born already.

CAN YOU NOT READ MY POST!? Did you all just skip over it!?? I explained it COMPLETELY. Yet people keep posting as if they are clueless and Obama is evil. It is a trick that Conservatives are pulling. The bill would have had something like this

Babies already born cannot be killed
…
…
…
…

A baby becomes a human life at conception

The one sent to Congress was different.

What they say is that Obama voted against saving babies that have already been born. In reality Obama voted against the 2nd part that would have overturned Roe v. Wade by making the youngest fetus into a full fledged human. Learn something about how bills are written and passed. There has been a lot of controversy about situations like this when they add money for troops to controversial bills in order to say that the dems voted down giving money to the troops when in reality what they were voting down were other parts of the bill.

It’s just like how McCain is saying that he cuts taxes whereas Obama raises taxes for everyone. In reality Obama is only going to raise taxes for people making over 250,000 and he is going to cut taxes for the rest of the people. Analysts actually say OBama is going to cut more taxes than McCain. McCain flat out lies. His new commercial calls Obama a celebrity who vacations on private beaches in Hawaii and doesn’t care about you and will raise your taxes. McCain is lying b/c Obama LIVED in Hawaii so he was just going back to visit. He is also going to extend Bush’s tax cuts for the rich and not cut as many taxes as Obama. McCain also has commercials about how he is super pro-green but in reality he rarely ever votes in favor of “green” bills. The off-shore drilling is a ploy too.

Here’s a good paragraph I just read that talks about how McCain is a fool for trying to say Obama is the priviledged one. (THIS IS IF HE PICKS ROMNEY) "John McCain’s family is worth over $100 million but the exact amount isn’t clear because they have consistently refused to release their complete tax returns. McCain thinks that people earning a mere $4 million aren’t rich. He has so many houses he can’t remember them all. His chief economic advisor said our economic problems are all mental. He just bought his daughter a $700,000 condo. But McCain’s money is peanuts compared to his running mate, Willard Romney’s, whose net worth is more than $200 million. Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and just finished paying of the loans he needed to take out to get through college. His daughters get an allowance of $1 a week. Who do you think understands how much you are struggling through the Bush economy? "

McCain is realllly ****ing me off b/c so many of the things he says are flat out lies and since so many people seem to believe them I’m losing so much faith in Americans.

No, I usually don’t read your posts because half the time they contain childish profanity and the other half are usually ad hominem attacks.

Care to cite something? I’m not saying that I don’t believe you but I would like to actually see this before believing it. I find it hard to believe that Hilary Clinton and the hard-core National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) would support this bill if it said that.

Obama flat out lies all the time too. What about public funding? How about when he also denied the fact that he voted against this bill. What infuriates me even more is that everyone wants to portray Obama as a principled, new-age politician when he is definitely not so.

I believe Obama made 4 million dollars last year. The fact of the matter is that presidential candidates usually will not understand the economic woes of commoners. Obama’s uprbringing is not as impoverished as you make it out to be. Although his father left him and died, he was a Harvard economist. Additionally, Obama attended a prestigious boarding school in Hawaii. It is definitely by no means an affluent upbringing but it isn’t as impoverished as you make it seem to be.

Brown_man, you are revealing a profound lack of understanding how legislation is passed. A lot of times contentious language is snuck into uncontentious bills to try and force the opposing party to cave lest they look as if they are opposing the non contentious issue (in this case, infanticide).

Here’s the evidence you seek of why Obama does not support infanticide and why you’re being duped by a propaganda machine:

While both sides of the aisle lie, you need to understand how pervasive lies and twisted facts are used by the right wing to turn good people into monsters in the name of securing votes.

Use your own discernment and you will soon be able to figure out what the real truth is. Good luck.

Ya I already showed u the quote from the book about what he said happened. The thing that Clinton voted down was the one sent to Congress which was supposedly different.

And just b/c I am passionate about what I say doesn’t mean you should skip it b/c it just means you will repeat mistakes that I might have tried to address which makes u look stupid, not me. So thanks for being a jerk to me. And you should be the one interested in looking the bill up since you find it as making him evil. Of anyone, Hillary supporters should be the ones to see if propaganda against Obama is real since you say propaganda is all over the media…or else it’s just hypocritical.

And McCain saying something different than what he is currently doing is wrong. Ur right that Obama shouldn’t have said he wouldn’t take public funding, but it’s not like he’s still saying he is going to when he is not. What McCain is doing is saying things are different than what they are and that is just plain wrong.

Ha ha, just thought I’d bump this one back into the picture. I wanted all the McCainiacs (and Obama haters) to remember this crappy thread before Obama gets elected next month (for all those who dont-no, now you know).

I want some of the people who have watched this race closely, followed all those misleading polls and made some ridiculous, outlandish comments on this thread as if they were the most informed people on the topic to re-read your post and admit to yourselves how dumb you all really sounded.

^ it’s not over yet, don’t jinx it!.. I’m just worried as many ppl that say they’re voting for Obama won’t really bring themselves to do it. CNN had a special on it, but I forgot the name. The Bradley effect? Or something like that. Happened to a former governor of Virginia.

I know, you’re right grantortue. I just wanted to poke some fun at all the Obama haters in this thread who tried to intellectualize the reasons for their hate. The race isn’t over, but it will be soon enough. I hope everyone who’d rather die than live under a Black president have made your funeral arrangements.

^^It’s not the way I’d have it, but unfortunately, it’s the way it is. I don’t believe everyone has to be an Obama fan or that if you’re not an Obama fan then you’re a racist, but please, don’t insult mine or anyone else’s intelligence with all this finger pointing and false accusations about the man. Don’t P down my back, then tell me it’s raining.
