Coronavirus: What are You doing ( if anything) to prepare/ What are you personally observing?

I had my hair cut and colored last week. I’m going to have a facial this afternoon. I’m aware and washing hands but I’m not ready to stop living my daily life. I have several friends with travel related businesses and they are hurting.
I gave one of my containers of hand sanitizer to my sister who has a autoimmune disease.
I did pick up some falafel from the Whole Foods hot bar on Monday. In hindsight I realize that probably wasn’t the smartest move.

@CottonTales

Yes, it will. Mix 2 tablespoon bleach with 1 quart of water in a spray bottle and use that to sanitize hard surfaces.

Don’t use bleach to sanitize your hands. Bleach will damage your skin and leave small burns and tears in your skin that will make it easier for a virus to enter your body.

My 90. 5 year old mother has a basic check up and uti that she has been treated and I told her to have my sister just drop it off (urine specimen). They allowed it last last week or so.

I need a haircut… Didn’t even think of any of this with that. Hmmmm

Maybe just reschedule if it is routine and not urgent. Unless absolutely necessary, I’d steer clear of hospitals and doctor’s offices right now - not just Covid-19 but flu season as well.

I have second appt on tooth I had root canal done a few weeks ago, but it can be postponed if necessary.

H is swamped at work between CV and budget negotiations, so likely we won’t be going out to eat, to the movies anyway.

Our next theatre series show is at the end of this month. Won’t be surprised if it’s cancelled.

I’m thinking I’ll be watching a lot of Netflix and AP series. And at least spring is almost here I can start working on getting my gardens in shape.

I took pups on long walk today. Was so nice being outside in fresh air and not worrying about anyone coughing on me or touching any surfaces!

Thinking of you, @romanigypsyeyes and hoping all goes well.

Thinking of you @romanigypsyeyes

Wish I could reschedule, but I’m almost out of one of my prescriptions. I can’t have the 'script renewed because new doctor & new health insurance, along with a new prescription drug provider.

I’m up to date on vaccinations, including flu and pneumonia.

Sending good thoughts to you, @romanigypsyeyes.

I’ve been in a room for about an hour. ER isolation room. My nurses are basically wearing hazmat suits.i never went back to waiting room.

They’re running me through a respiratory panel and I’ll get a chest x-ray. They also put in a request to the CDC to test me for covid but the nurse seemed unsure since the policy is brand new and mightve changed since the positives yesterday.

L&D is monitoring me from afar.

Baby’s heart rate is doing much better and that was my biggest concern.

Sending positive thoughts for you and baby.

I’m very glad about the heart-rate news, @romanigypsyeyes!

@romanigypsyeyes - wishing you well but could you move your updates to your own thread? Thanks!

thinking and praying @romanigypsyeyes

Sorry Marilyn. Since this was the personal observation thread I was just sharing the process of going through the covid screening process and what its like in ERs right now. I’ll stop.

IMO your updates are completely appropriate for this thread, but its your choice, @romanigypsyeyes. Best of luck to you!

I would appreciate the updates being on her own thread. This one is not for that purpose once we’ve been advised about the hospital procedures, which we now have been.

It was all the good wishes, certainly appropriate, but they were burying all the other updates. So made it hard to keep up with the news. Perhaps a summary when done instead of a play-by-play? That’s all!

Just announced: No fans allowed at NCAA tournament.

I went to Sam’s today. It was very busy, but it is high snowbird season for us here. I was only buying coffee (because that is something I do NOT want to run out of) and salted mixed nuts that we like to snack on.

There was a gloved associate handing a Purel (sp?) wipe to each customer as they walked in. So, that was slowing entry down. Five packs of Clorox wipes right when one walked in. Most people had those, water, and TP in their carts. The woman who was checking out in front of me had 90 rolls of toilet paper in her cart!

I had a FB friend today who was “seeking recommendations” on where in her town she could buy toilet paper. I guess she has not been paying attention to the hoarding that has been going on. Her family just NEEDED toilet paper.
