sometimes if you turn it over and blow on it, where the light is, it will stop or you can also try a white piece of paper over your mouse pad.

If this a this is a laptop there is no light. it is capacitive touch square just below the keyboard. I have had that happen and what I did was take windex, even water put a LITTLE bit on a paper towel or preferably a soft CLEAN cloth. Turn off the laptop and clean the pad in a circular motion> let any residue dry then turn the laptop back on on try it. Hopefully that will work and if not then I am not sure what to try next. It has worked on mine a couple of times now. Good Luck

lol just realized i was assuming you had a mouse attached to your laptop …i do as i cant stand the thing on the lap top.

Maybe it’s turning into an electronic Ouija Board. :)

parent56 I agree they are the most frustrating thing going on a laptop LOL. with some of them being capacitive as I said just rubbing your feed on the carpet while using the laptop can make it go crazy because of the static.

EPTR I like your comment now if we could only write a program that would turn into an electronic OUIJA board we could be rich:)

Thanks for the responses!

EPTY…that’s a perfect description of how the touchpad on my laptop is behaving!

Percussiondad, I will try your solution as soon as I get home.
