33 superscored (they saw 32 comp: 35R, 35W, 29M, 28S when I raised math to a 32 on my next attempt)
1430 superscored (730 R/W, 700 M)
3.92 UW

Accepted into Honors College w/ $25,000 scholarship
Did only the top 1-3% of applicants receive their scholarships today? I have not heard of anyone getting any scholarships other than the major, top ones.
Just to reiterate, be careful about scholarship amounts. Often the 25k is over four years. While obviously every little bit helps, 6250/yr does not make a huge dent in the OOS cost of attendance.
@stargazerrm ā There are a couple of scholarships being mentioned here. The Chancellorās Scholarship is awarded to the Top 25% of admitted non-resident students. It is $25k over the course of 4 years (not per year). The Presidential Scholarship is the bigger one, awarded to admitted non-resident students in the top 1-3% and is $55k total over the 4 yrs. Info re: automatic scholarship consideration for prospective freshman (in and out of state) is on the website.

@NorCalsoccermom , like @aewlmom , hers was at the bottom of the one page letter which also had her invite to the Honors College.
If your son hasnāt looked at it yet, check out Barrett Honors College at ASU. I believe they are very generous with their aid to OOS students, and the WP Carey School of Business is very good.

Congrats to all and good luck with your decisions
@Hemmingway2019, @aewlmom, @futurebuff1234 : Thanks for the information and tips I read something about the poor scholarship situation in comments on the Niche website, but was hoping that it would work out differently. I didnāt think he would have qualified for the top 1-3% scholarship, but surprised that he didnāt qualify for the top 25% scholarship, particularly as he was admitted to Honors Program without applying. However, based on what I have read here, he had some stiff competition!! As for ASU, we ruled that out, I am the warm weather person in this family.
My son was accepted to Leeds School of Business, Chancellor Scholarship and honors college. We also did NOT fill out the honors application and we were regretting it, but I guess they took him anyway which is great.
1510 SAT, top 5% (4.55 GPA, lots of rigor). OOS.
We were hoping he had a shot at the top scholarship but I guess he didnāt fall into the top 1-3% category.
This is a tempting offerā¦I think if he thinks he wants to stay in the Boulder/Denver area, this could be a great choice for him. We just need a crystal ball.
Congrats to all of you that are accepted. CU Boulder is a very special place. We loved it when we visited last year.
Accepted
OOS
Major: Physics
UW 3.95
ACT 31
Presidential Scholarship
My son got accepted into exploratory studies but not into what he was wanting.
He is pretty bummed- he is treating it as a rejection. He applied here and also to Colorado School of Mines (accepted). He was stressing over having to make the decision on which school to choose so the silver lining (though I doubt he will see it this way ;-)) is that the choice will now be easier.
Congrats to all who got the news you where hoping for!!! All that hard work paid off- way to go!
Our D got in. No $ offered but still thrilled as it is her first choice. Now onto the scholarship applicationsā¦
here are stats for ref!
- accepted for exploratory studies
- OOS
- w/GPA: 4.31
- ACT: 32
- IB diploma candidate
- chancellor's achievement scholarship
- invited to honors college for arts & sciences
Did anyone else get in for pre-business? It says that you have to live Williams North Village, is it hard to bond with other freshman if you are living that far away? Can someone enlighten me about the pros and cons of being pre-business? Thank you!!
Does anyone have a link for the cost of the meal plans? I see room rates break down based on room options but not the meal plans (15 versus 19 meal/week plans.) Thanks.
Son admitted CS - College of Engineering.
OOS - California
ACT 34
GPA 4.27 (W) 3.88 (UW)
Will have 11 AP classes - - (5 done so far with AP test scores: four 5s and one 4)
Presidential Scholarship- $55K over 4 years
Congratulations to all admitted.
So has anyone else NOT been notified of a decision? Earlier post on here said most decisions will come on or around February 1. However, a twitter and Facebook post from CU Admissions yesterday indicated to check email for status changes and did not qualify that it was only some decisions, not all.
The cost is the same⦠itās hard to explain. Let me see if I can screenshot the table or send you a link.
