I think we need an unofficial (or official) daily rant thread!

So, whats your beef today?

I think we need an unofficial (or official) daily rant thread!

So, whats your beef today?

I will start…

99.9% of teenage boys are obsessed with Jim Morrison.

On the midterm we went over today in Chem, the teacher reviewed a free response problem about kinetics, where part a says write the rate law. And then he went on to say:

NO ARGUMENTS YOU DON’T GET ALL THE POINTS IF YOU DON’T EXPLAIN HOW YOU GOT THE RATE LAW. DO YOU GET IT?

No I don’t, thanks. If you don’t write it in the instructions, how the **** are we supposed to know to DO IT?

That guy makes no sense. Though I was alright since I only lost one point, but I haaaate failures in logic. And that is blatant FAIL LOGIC.

ARGH my guidance counselor…

Argh her, argh her dang it!
I went in three times today to see her, each time she was out or with someone. I came in at exactly the times her secretary TOLD me to come… Saying she would reserve a time for me each time.

I’ve decided that nothing is worth me getting ****ed off at. If I don’t score well on a test, I’ll just study harder or simply accept my grade as is. If my SAT score is low, fine. I just want to relax and collect my thoughts and not give a crap about anyone or anything else.

Lol, this kid flung water across the room at me and the people behind me, I ended up shouting a CURSE WORD [eh, it was definitely deserved though] and the teacher disregards the water and yells at me for offending his ears. Blehhh.

I missed school today because I’m sick, and now I have a ton of make up work to do.

Chest pain, and can’t afford a doctor appointment…

sigh

my german teacher was absent today (again… she misses a lot.). She left a test for us to do while she was gone; she didn’t tell us we would have one. Not a big deal, pop quiz, I was ready. Untill I looked at it and it was on something totally different than what we have spent the past week studying! grrr! I hate her so much!

I had a mock debate to help out these novices for a tournament Saturday, and it sucked. It was just…stupid. I couldn’t even regulate the words coming out of my mouth, and when I got critiqued by my captains, the first thing they said was “Logical fallicies!” So I gave one of them a cough drop and called it a day.

i paid $25 for a manicure yesterday for my formal (prom) and I just broke a nail… ARGH sooo annoying

I am going to diiieee.
Or at least pass out from lack of air.
My throat/breathing apparatus is sooooo clogged with phlegm I can barely breath. Thank god I stayed home today.

i’m embarassed to admit that i like that “you can have whatever you like” song

My chest still hurts, and I figured out what’s wrong.
I sucked at the Aca Deca essays today.
Latin is killing me.
I’m sick of the stupid pop quizzes in math that we’re not even given enough time to complete.
I sucked at the extemp run through in debate and made myself look stupid in front of the novices.
I’m really nervous about switching debate styles.

I got my class rank today for the first time ever.

^ Not so good I’m guessing?

It’s not awful, but definitely not what I was hoping for. 138/800 at a highly competitive public high school, and GPA is weighted on a 120 point scale.

Most kids in the top 10 didn’t take their foreign language last year (two courses, i.e. French/Spanish/German/Latin I and II, with 1.1 instead of 1.2 multiplier), and I did, so that brought my grade lower than those who took all classes with 1.2 multipliers.

But my unweighted GPA is much higher than most people who are ahead of me in rank
And most of those top 10 kids are all taking their preliminary foreign language this year, and French III and IV (which I’m taking) have the 1.2 multiplier :D

^Mine sucks, and I’m in a crappy school. If anything holds me back getting into colleges it’ll be my rank. I take all the honors offered and then the classes they aren’t offered that I take are still substantially more difficult than most of the other classes.

WHOA! Wrong post order. Mine was suppose to go after vivelavieboheme

God, has anyone else entered Second Quarter Slump yet? First quarter I got straight A’s, which is above a 93 at my school, and today I got an AP euro test back, 74% [still have a 91 in the class though]

I’m starting to believe I have SAD. I love christmastime, but god, the cold, the damn ice on your windshield, the fifty layers of clothing you have to put on for outside and then inside you sweat like a beast, it’s ridiculous. And, living in Chicago, I get winter until the end of March.

/daily beef
