Y’all can I be real w you for a quick second? I know we all have different reasons for choosing to remain on the waitlist, and we all have that right to stay, but here’s what I ask - if you’re already going to a pretty top-tier college, consider being kind to us smart-but-not-good-enoughs and taking yourself off the waitlist and staying committed where you are? Most of us here are pretty smart in different ways, and I think we can all agree that this admissions process isn’t the best at truly valuing our different intelligences, so maybe we can help each other stay towards the top-tier colleges?
Idk just a thought. My best wishes to all of you in the coming days, but yeah, if you’re already at a decent college or likely won’t accept dartmouth’s waitlist offer, consider looking out for us! Feel free to disregard this if you’d like - you earned your spot on the waitlist and have a right to see it out if you want
Hey all! I used this site a lot over this past year, so I figured I’d try to help out a little. Just got taken off the waitlist as of yesterday (7/10). I was committed to Northeastern for Bioengineering, but will most likely make the switch to Dartmouth, as it’s the better choice academically. They‘re giving me until 7/15 to respond, so I’m driving up to the campus rn to confirm that I’m making the right decision. Stay hopeful all! I had no expectations to even get waitlisted, nevermind admitted. Also open to any questions. :))
@berryclairy I didn’t send anything besides a pretty basic LOCI after I got waitlisted, but I should note that I originally submitted a music and acting portfolio. Also, yes, I am full pay. Probably gonna try calling admissions about that last part one more time, but I most likely will end up paying full regardless.
