<p>There’s a lot of inbetween ground. I was shocked to see on this site how popular the musical theater major is. Clearly there are many kids who follow passion without worrying about money. I do wonder what becomes of the 99.9% of them that will have a hard time makeing a decent living. When you live in LA your babysitter, house cleaners, delivery people–are actors. </p>
<p>Then there are all of the kids choosing engineering because of money. You realize they must have just been looking at starting salaries! And please, please, those who think doctors get rich are many here on CC.</p>
<p>What do you know at 17? You wonder just when you give up the motherly persuasion. You wonder if her front lobe is fully developed! There is such a range of us here, those who firmly believe you let go and let the kid make all decisions and those still in charge of their kid’s little things.</p>
