KKmama, I am speechless.
Well, I just got an email from Harrods. “Christmas hampers are here!” Lol, it looks like the British have got infected with the US craze.
I’m really enjoying the fresh apples that began to appear in the stores around here. Still has not bought anything pumpkin yet.
Just had Apple pie made with locally grown apples. Yum!
^^that sounds yummy, I’ll be right over!
My H likes it when I make a chunky applesauce in the Fall. Just picked up the apples today…I usually buy two of each kind so that it gives the applesauce a real depth of flavor…my BIL LOVES Pumpkin anything. I never liked pumpkin, but it really is annoying each year to see more & more pumpkin spice items at almost any store! Yikes.
The earliest I have ever seen Christmas displays was many years ago as I walked through a JC Penney to get to my car…Sept. 14th, I kid you not. I’ll never forget that date and I hope I never see Christmas stuff that early again! It’s taking over most of the 4th quarter of the year, almost! I loved it when it began the day after Thanksgiving!
I still think of apples when I think of the Fall, not pumpkin.
Ironically, we are going to NYC Nov. 16-18, and would love to see the department store Christmas displays, but have read that they aren’t up until closer to Thanksgiving. Any other time I would be complaining about Christmas decorations being up to early, but…
Entenmann is selling pumpkin donuts. No, I didn’t buy them.
Jello brand has Pumpkin Spice pudding. I also saw Pumpkin Spice Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallows
Keebler has Pumpkin Spice Fudge Stripes cookies, belVita has pumpkin spice breakfast biscuits, and Lance has Nekot Cookies with Pumpkin Cheesecake Filling. These are the new items I’ve seen this year.
I did see pumpkin spices fudge stripes at Walmart too. All the pumpkin spice items were on a rack somewhat near the school supplies in the main aisle.
It is just a matter of time before they make pumpkin crème Oreos or candy corn ones.
Will be going to the farmers market tomorrow to see what’s selling now. Our Trader Joe’s has a ton of pumpkin stuff. I don’t want to rush the holidays but the Thanksgiving cards are already out. Dollar Tree had a bunch of stuff for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
@Madison85 Wow I didn’t know about this. I am willing to bet Target will have them.
Here is a nice link for pumpkin spice everything.

Pass the nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves!
I’m still fighting back while it’s September!!!
Some of these look amazing! Both sweet and savory choices. 20 Must Make Apple Recipes:
I just returned from lunch at a nearby deli. I had the usual: cobb salad with extra ranch dressing – their version of that dressing is divine. (it’s Deb’s Ice Cream & Deli in Cedar Rapids, in case you’re ever here…)
Anyway, the salads are large but I have enough room left that I could have indulged in some dessert. Among the choices was pumpkin cheesecake. It looked reaaallly good. But I passed – I’d had my fill of calories with the bleu cheese, bacon, avocado, and heaping spoonfuls of dressing on the salad. hehe
Right up our alley!
The answer: not a pretty thing.

So good to point out BB ^^^ Though I’m guessing this applies to just about any grande specialty drink made with 2% or greater milk!!!
I would be curious (after October 1st of course…) if anyone has tried and truly succeeded with a delicious homemade pumpkin or apple flavored coffee drink or creamer. I know there are recipes out there but I want something that tastes GREAT!
