<p>Hmm, it’s very odd, though. When I got my UCLA letter, I was deferred from BioEngineering there in favor of chemical engineering. UCLA’s bioengineering program is ranked 42nd in the nation -_- Yet UCSD accepts me into their bioengineering/pre-med program, even though it’s ranked 3rd. Was bioengineering sorta but not really impacted this year?</p>

<p>Peppers - bioengineering: pre-med at UCSD is not impacted. Only bioengineering and bioengineering: biotechnology (I think that’s what it’s called) are. On the other hand, I’ve read that UCLA bioengineering is heavily impacted this year.</p>
