Deferred from Clemson and or University of South Carolina 2024

Gotcha. I guess SC is big enough that they don’t have to worry about drawing kids from elsewhere to fill the schools.

We have academic common market but it’s only certain majors and certain schools but it’s mutual agreement for some southern states

One more question, does Clemson have a good reputation for kids being able to get the classes they need to graduate in 4 years? I’m originally from SoCal and there are certain schools there that you just knew it’d take you at least 5 years to get thru because you just couldn’t get your classes.

I haven’t heard of this issue at Clemson but I also cannot confirm or deny.

Pretty certain the instate kids that qualify for SC auto scholarships have to have 30 credits a year to maintain them . At least that is what friends kids who are at usc need. So that would make it very feasible to be done in 4. I see lots of kids that are done in 4 some less. But I don’t have personal experience only from what I have seen

Colorado has the WUE to provide tuition discounts for those states participating. SC is a member of the Academic Common Market which will provide in-state tuition for out of state universities in member states if your major isn’t offered at any of the schools in your state. However, Clemson opted out if the ACM in 2019.

Colorado Boulder does not participate in WUE. But, Denver and Colorado Springs do participate.

Good luck to her!!! :four_leaf_clover:

Today’s the day….less than 12 hours left for Clemson decisions…I hope you all have a great day, especially the kids going to school!

Good luck today everyone. Hope it works out :pray:t2::four_leaf_clover:

My daughter could’ve done it in 3, but she’s taking advantage of extra classes that will prep her for actuarial exams, and likes to take at least 18 credits a semester. She has fantastic advisors, and her finance advisor has been able to get her into full classes, or override prerequisites (she’s a finance major/math minor on an actuarial track). She’s a junior who just had her ring ceremony (90 credits needed) in the fall.

Congrats to her!

Apologies if this has been asked and answered many times, but do we know if anyone was actually rejected from Clemson or USC during EA?

Yes, applicants were rejected from both.
