My daughter has already heard back from PLU and U of Portland with admits and great scholarships. But, her dream school is Point Loma, and she is anxiously awaiting the December 15 decision date. Anyone have any past experience with them sending out decisions early? I’m encouraging patience! But, I’m secretly hoping that they come out a little earlier.
Does anyone know anything about West Chester of PA’s nursing program. Just got admitted today as out of state and don’t know much about it.
I don’t know much about the nursing program, except that it has the most competitive admission of the PASSHE nursing programs. If you have any general questions about the university, you can PM me. One of my daughters, not a nursing student, is a 2021 WCU graduate. The new building housing the nursing program’s labs was being built while she was a student there.
Where did you see money awarded? My daughter was accepted in September, but we haven’t heard anything about money. Do you have to commit to hear about money??
My daughter was accepted at the end of September and then received a separate notification about a month later to check her portal and the scholarship offer was there. Hope that helps!

Hi. My son has applied to UNH, UVM, Quinnipiac, Rutgers NB, SUNY Bing, and University of Pennsylvania. Haven’t heard a peep from any of them. Well Rutgers Newark and Camden acceptances. ED Penn rest EA. Hoping we hear something soon.
How does she like sacred heart now? We were hoping for UDel, but my D has similar stats then yours so she may not get in for nursing. Unfortunately we won’t know until Feb 15 and that was EA

My teen applied only to massachusetts schools for BSN. We are full-pell-eligible so unlikely to go to private without really significant merit aid.
They have received admission offers from Curry, Salem State, Umass Dartmouth, Westfield State, Worcester State, all in MA. No rejections so far.
We hope to hear from a another handful of state schools next week or so, and we will likely not hear about highly -selective until Jan/Feb (eg Umass Amherst, Northeastern)

Anyone hear anything from Point Loma in San Diego yet? EA decisions being talked about but not nursing specific. Daughter says admissions emails parents first. Just curious if anyone has heard!
Your daughter is correct. I received an email on Thursday from PLNU Admissions with the heading Shhh…it’s a surprise! We have not received anything in the mail.
We heard from PLNU today and was a bit surprised she was denied. Not even offered wait list. 4.0 UW GPA, 4.3 UW, lots of extracurriculars, and 2 health care internships in high school. Nursing is getting crazy competitive.

Oh wow. So sorry to hear that! We are still waiting. Nothing in the mail today and our mail preview doesn’t show anything arriving tomorrow. My daughter is in the group chat/forum that PLNU has for freshmen applicants. She is assuming she isn’t admitted because I haven’t received an email like parents of those who are admitted received. It would be nice to all find out at once. With the internet, it’s tough when kids are in a group chat like that and they receive their notifications staggered.
