Congrats! Any insight into the program as a local? There’s one comment I saw on reddit that said that a recent class graduated 40ish folks out of the initial cohort of 150.

No. He applied because I made him. Rutgers NB has always been a love it or hate it kind of place. I didn’t go there but had many friends who did and I could never have lived the bus around to class life style. It is a big school physical wise.

At this point he is going to dive deeper into the specifics of each program he got and into and compare. Price will matter but I heard Rutgers doesn’t give much to in state students so with housing it may be out of our budget.

Rutgers NB merit and need-based aid info will be announced after their regular decision results (probably early March). So hard to know whether its worth a visit at this point.

Did anyone get into Michigan?

My son did not. He was postponed.

Postponed in state

Daughter got accepted to Rutgers NB OOS. Would love to hear more about the program. As someone mentioned here, reddit posts are concerning.

If you don’t mind posting your Sons stats? My son is also in state and obviously Rutgers NB is on his list.

Thank you

My son is applying to The Ohio State Summer camp. Do you know the stats on getting in to the camp?

No idea if they publish stats, my daughter has a 34 act and 95% average, she enjoyed the camp!

Also happy to answer any questions about the camp and what I did in Columbus while she was a the camp - we live out of state, so we flew there and stayed in a hotel near campus.

My S26 has a 3.98 UWGPA
Very challenging Catholic HS
9 Honors classes
Varsity Baseball
Over 50+ hours of Volunteer/shadowing Dr’s (as a current Junior and hours still adding up)
SAT 1260 (even though may go test optional)
National Honors Society
School mentorship program for underclassman
Over 100 hours at local Boys and Girls club helping middle school kids with homework and projects

I’m hoping these stats will be good for some DA Nursing programs.

Our list;

Rutgers NB
Fairfield
UConn
UDel
USF
FSU
Pitt
UTK
SLU
Binghamton
FAU

A few that we think are State “safeties”
Montclair
TCNJ

Any info anyone has on these schools and stats. Please feel free to comment. We want to prep and add/remove colleges by mid summer.

Thank you.

If his shadowing is mainly doctors, I’d see if he could do some nursing shadowing. Getting a CNA license is another good way to show interest.

My apologies. He shadows both Dr’s and Nirses in the ER dept.

Forgot to mention he has his BLS cert also. Will definitely look into CNA for this summer! Thank you

You may want to cross-post here for 2026 high school grads:
