Yep - after her passion fueled encounter with Pamuk, Gillingham might seem a bit of a milquetoast
After her passion-fueled encounter with Pamuk, I would think anyone would seem a bit of a milquetoast.
I’m counting the days until Divergent II (whatever it’s called) comes out so I can get a full 2 hours of “Pamuk”
Did anyone catch the name of Lord Merton’s other son? I didn’t.
Tim
^ Thanks!
Lord Merton’s sons are not children. One would have hoped that someone would have hit them in the heads and told them to be happy that their father has found someone to be happy with. What a pair of sniveling babies.
We all want the Greene incident to go away but didn’t I see a snippet of it in the preview to the next episode?
Also, will that awful O’Brien be back with Shrimpy’s wife if she comes to a Rose/Atticus wedding? I remember O’Brien defecting with someone but was it Shrimpy’s wife or someone else who was going to India?
If O’Brien returns that gives Thomas the opportunity to become evil again. Not that he’s looking for an excuse.
Theo James (Kemah Pamuk) in Divergent II - yes!
I completely forgot about O’Brien!
Well, she said that she wanted her second marriage to be as happy as her first. That’s going to be tough. Matthew was her equal in the brains department and treated her as an equal. And she appreciated that he brought out a softer side of her personality that we haven’t seen since his death. Also, I got the impression that their sex life was pretty good.
I think Tony couldn’t even come close to matching that. He doesn’t seem particularly bright, for one thing.
I would love to see O’Brien again. What a great thought.
I recognized O’Brien (Siobhan Finneran) as Clare on BBC’s Happy Valley. Took me a while to place where I had seen her before as she looked so different with a modern hairstyle.
How is Siobhan pronounced?
It is pronounced “Chi-vaughn”.
Chi- like the chi- in Chicago (not the chi- in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).
I’m not sure we’ve had Mary’s brain fleshed out: Matthew was beneath her in her mind at first, heir but a middle class lawyer who didn’t belong in a great house. We don’t know if this original disparity enabled her to feel more over time for him and if she’s afraid she’ll be locked into a role if she becomes a traditional upper class wife or if she really needs someone who starts out beneath her.
I can’t believe that Edith went along with a plan to hand over Marigold temporarily to the Drewes. It’s asking a lot of them, plus I would be afraid that Mrs. Drewe would just run off with the girl or otherwise put a stop to Cora’s plan.
It was cheating us to have the scene between Cora and Mrs. Drewe off camera. We all wanted to see that!
I find that Downton Abbey does that a lot-cheats us out of the best scenes. Cora/Mrs. Drewe…and Edith hearing the news of Gregson’s death. Wasn’t there an entire wedding off screen too?
Yes Sybil and Branson
Also, I don’t believe we saw Mary’s and Mathew’s wedding.
