Downton Abbey

Boo! But I guess I’m not surprised. Sad, but not surprised.

Wrap party - Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary) braless in white dress - what was she thinking?!

^^^^ Racy!!

Wow… talk about unfortunate bad camera lighting.

I guess Anna wasn’t around to dress her properly

I like the dress. Is the issue that she has nipples? Because lots of people have them. Wait, I think all of us have them.

^^Where do you see nipples? I only see one.

Yea, I only saw one, and even though we all have them, I do hope that mine aren’t as obvious in professional photographs taken of me! I would think she has enough money to buy a dress that would provide more coverage… although, perhaps the designer of the dress assumed women would be wearing bras with it.

Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. No shame in nipples. Heck, wish my boobs were that perky. I’d show them off, too.

I found it funny that “the one” kept showing.
Bothered? not at all.
If anyone is to be questioned I would think that the photographer might have said/done/touched up or whatever.
As we know, most woman have two different sized or shaped breast.

As the first line says, “Lady Mary no more.” She’s hoping not to be typecast. Effect achieved. Mission accomplished.

The actress who plays Lady Edith looks gorgeous in those photos!

Those of us who were teens and young women in the 70s have these photos lurking in the old albums. One of my friends described the lingerie trend of the time quite well with “well our bras were two silk baggies on an elastic band”. Women had nipples and men had chest hair.

Chest hair! Maybe Lord Grantham will bust out in a photo with some peeking chest hair! Now THAT would be funny!

We could get Tom Seleck to guest star?

Im pretty sure we have laughed about this, but:

^^^^^ Oh yikes. Is it just me or were the 70’s the ugliest years ever for fashion??

Sorry for our legacy…but maybe every decade via JCOenney was equally ugly?

True, JCP has never been the gold standard for fashion…

For a cool look at fashion from the times of Downton Abbey til today, decade by decade:
