Downton Abbey

yes that did get circulated last year but great to see it again! I am psyched about the new season. My older daughter has watched all the episodes so far that she has streamed from British TV but she’s been good about keeping secrets.

I love how the most seemingly unlikely people are big Downton Abbey fans

GMT, I agree. We have a new pastor at church…very young, went through undergrad on an athletic scholarship. He said that Downton Abbey is his favorite show.

Saw Colbert show last night. Great interview. They gave away NO spoilers.

Here’s a funny clip of the cast members doing Downton in their version of American accents on the Colbert show:

It’s so annoying that we in the U.S.A. do not get the complete episodes that are broadcast in the UK. I understand that past Xmas shows have been extra-long. I wonder if the DVD versions sold in the U.S.A. include all the UK episodes.

Hahahaha…that Colbert clip was hilarious. Michelle was so funny I was laughing.

@LakeWashington

Surely they’ve been broadcasting the xmas-special episodes in the States, no?. Didnt u see the final episode for Season 5 at Brancaster Castle in Scotland? That was the xmas-special.

Two days to go… but who’s counting?

I’ve recently watched all five seasons on Amazon Prime. It’s free for Prime subscribers. It plainly says at the beginning of each episode that it is the original uncut BBC version. Love the show and it really lends itself to binge watching. I’m not sure how I’ll stand watching season six in fits and starts. I forget to watch series shows at specific times.

Did you see the float at the Rose Bowl? It was terrific, with a miniature house.

Overseas, I’ve already seen Season 6, plus I watched the Xmas special grand finale 3x, but I missed S6 episode 1. I am so keen to see it while I in the States this weekend!

Xmas was an hour and a half.

We dropped satellite this year. Does anyone know if PBS will be streaming it? Or when the season will go on sale at Amazon prime? Looks like the DVD will be released Jan 26, but I don’t want to wait that long!

S6 is already available on simplyjune. I just finished the entire season.

The season is on sale on Amazon Prime. I’m going to try to hold off buying it to watch it weekly…so much else to stream…I’ll see how long I hold out.

It’s on PBS.

You can watch it on PBS online and you will thoroughly hate Ralph Lauren and Viking River cruises before the season is halfway over!!!

PS- they shortened the Poldark episodes for American TV but not DA.

Tomorrow night!! I have to keep reminding myself because I’m all mixed up with days because of the holidays. Yesterday I thought it was Sunday and today I keep forgetting it’s Saturday.

So please, powers that be or my CC friends, help me remember Downton is on tomorrow night for its last season!

Yikes, we just switched to a new tv provider and are having to rebuild our DVR list. Very first world problem but so very important to not miss DA!
